just thought i'd bring up a topic on pet peeves....
what are your bad habits?
what are your pet peeves?
what about your sig other (if you have one) do you dislike most and drives you crazy??
here's mine:
bad habits:
- short temper, get on my bad side and i fly off the handle and thru the roof! (i blame fms for this lol)
- i pick my chapped lips
- over analytical
- like to pick at bumps on skin even if it's not MY skin
pet peeves:
-when people put their hair in a pony tail but leave all kinds of hair around their face (other than bangs) and in their eyes. i always thought tying your hair back was to keep it OFF your face!
- can't stand hair in my eyes or around my ears (so i cut it very short, almost a buzz sometimes)
- i wash my hands before and after touching almost everything (except when i was working on my car)
- i wash my feet multiple times a day, can't stand things being stuck or dirt on my feet
- i HATE when i see girls wear super short skirts that you can almost see their privates.
- i hate "players" or "charmers" , hate being flirted with "pick up lines"
- i HATE when i see guys wear their pants so low or bellow their ass!! i DO NOT want to see peoples boxers or underwear! YUCK
most annoying about my bf that drives me crazy:
he chews his nails CONSTANTLY, even while driving!! it gets to the point i start slapping his hand and scolding him
ok... you all probably think i'm nuts now lol. i'm curious to see what you all got?

OK GIRL CALL ME SAYS SHE IS REPLACEING MARIA & WANTS TO SHADOW HER ON FRI, I SAID OK & WE HANG UP =SEC LATER RESIZED MARIA IS COMING ON SAT SO I LOOKED @ CALLER ID (THE GIRL NEVER TOLD ME HER NAME)& IT SAID JENNY SO CALLED HER SHE ANSWERED PHONE & I SAID HI JENNY WE JUST TALKED & SHE AGNILAGED,TOLD HER TO COME ON SAT, SHE SAID OK GOOD-BYE HANGS UP!
MARIA CALLS THIS MORN & WANTS TO COME FRI INSTEAD OF SAT OK SO I CALL JENNY & THERE A RECORDING=HI THIS IS JENNY ,LEAVE A MESSAGE, I LEAVE MESSAGE TO COME TODAY INSTEAD OF SAT!
MIN LATER I GET A CALL= I'M OUTSIDE SO VOICE MAIL PICKS UP ITS "JENNY" ALMOST CUSING ME OUT WHO THE "F" AM I & WHY I'M CALLING HER HOUSE & THAT I CALLED YESTURDAY & SHE DOES NOT KNOW MY NUMBER OR ANYTHING ABOUT CLEANING MY HOUSE & WHY I'M CALLING HER SHE DOES NOT KNOW ME & HOW DID I GET HER NUMBER!
I WAS LIVIVED!
I CALL HER BACK DUMB FOUNDED & EXPLAINED SHE TALKED TO ME TWICE YESTURDAY!..." AGAIN"!
SHE GETS BERATE & SAYS I'M CRAZY SHE DOES NOT KNOW ME! I TRY TO BE CALM EXPLAIN TO HER ABOUT MARIA & REANIA'S HOME CARE REPLACEMENT! FINALLY SHE TELLS ME ITS HER BROTHERS GIRLFRIEND THAT LIVES W/HER!
I APLOGIZED FOR BOTHERING HER =
"HELLO"= SHE IS STILL MEAN ON THE PHONE & NEVER APOLOGIZES OR ANYTHING NEVER SAYS SHE WILL GIVE "ELIZEBETH" THE MESSAGE!JUST HANGS UP! I CALLED MARIA & SHE ARRANGED A MEETING ON MON!
IF YOU HAVE SOMEONE LIVING W.YOU THAT SHARES'S YOUR HOME PHONE! & CLEANS HOUSE'S FOR A LIVING WOULD IT REGISTER W/YOU IF YOU GET A MESSAGE ON THE RECORDER! SHE COULD HAVE LOST THIS GIRL A JOB MAYBE HER ONLY ONE!

bad habit=most are also pet peeves=
- ALWAYS EMPTYING MY PURSE OUT @ END OF NIGHT & CHANGING PURSE W/EA OUTFIT SO I HAVE TO RE DO MY PURSE =TRY TO USE ONE DRAWER TO EMPTY EVERYTHING OUT IN SO I WON'T LOOSE OR FORGET IMPORTANT STUFF LIKE CHAP STICK,EXTRA MEDS, EMERY BOARD(HAVE TO KEEP MY NAIL FILED)
- Even @ home i have to wash MY hands/face & FEET(IF WEARING SANDELS) almost every hour even if i don't have to go to the bathroom! & brush my teeth even if i haven't eaten anything & of coarse right after eating & brush hair & check my nails & file them if need to!(don't wear colored polish only clear)
- USE THE SAME green TEA BAG ALL DAY in the same cup!=first cup is weak cause i drink it before it steeps & by the third cup within the hour it start getting just right to be able to sit awhile before getting to strong & by the end of the day it is perfect & not to weak or to strong= perfect!

-not being able to ignor smokers= they really upset me! i go blolistic it really makes me sick(NAUSA, SNEEZE,HIVES) & i hate they way they look smoking! it up sets me so much thats why i say its a bad habit i should be able to just ignor them!
guess its a pet peeve too! they leave their cig all over & don't think its littering & it kill the birds!OR THEY STAND INSIDE A inclosed lobby/entrance & OTHERs HAVE TO WALK THRU THE SMOKE!
-i also can't stand anyone touching my hair! its long & has some layers & if it goes flying around in my face i hate it when people push it out of my face =i know its there "hello" i try not touching my hair to much =cause some peOple think it is a vain thing to touch hair alot just like to push it back or get it out of my face if the wind blows or i move a certain way! OR AS THEY COMPLIMENT ME, they usally end up pulling my hair out as they push it or grab it/TOUCH IT IT!! i really get upset w/always being in pain W/"FIBRO" i can't toterate unsenchless pain "DON"T TOUCH MY HAIR"
-& same w/skin i'm always itchy & if anyone touchs me i itch more! i hate it if @ a party & someone brushs a bug or something off me very hard "hello" leave the bug alone you just put a bruise on me!
-i hate guys with there pants down to there knees & every other step is pulling up there pants so they won't loose them!=so stupid looking!
-WOMEN ARE JUST AS BAD= letting bra show in back of shirt HIGHER THEN BACK OF TOP!as if its part of the look or wearing a black SHIRT & LETTING WHITE BRA STRAPS SHOW =WEAR THE SAME COLOR BRA AS SHIRT! & SAME W/ UNDERWEAR BLACK BRA W/RED UNDERWEAR SHOWING OUT TOP OF PANTS & I'M NOT TALKING G-STRING GRANNY PANTS! or a strapless or halter shirt w/bra straps! so uncool!
-oohh get me going= when out @ a bar if someone ask me if i want a drink & i sat thanks a verners or cranberry please= they flip out & so oh don't you want a drink! YA GOTTA GET A REAL DRINK!
"HELLO' THATS A DRINK! IF IT NOT ALCOHOL THEY THINK YOU CAN'T SOCIALIZE!
- & the same w/water "I LOVE DRINKING WATER W?NO ICE" i always get oh we have other stuff then just water or are you sure you don't want ice! not out of the frig either just tap water! they are just so shocked
- & the same w/ hot water i love drinking just hot water w/lemon @ a restarant they make a big deal out of it "DID YOU SAY "HOT WATER"
-OR WHEN PEOPLE SAY A CERTAIN WORD EVERY TWO OR THREE WORDS 'lIKE YA KNOW" OR "THATS JUST ME" "THATS THE WAY I'AM" "I SEE"
-& OF COARSE THE "F" WORD EVERY OTHER WORD!"F-IN COOL" "F-IN RIGHT"
-& when i do file my nails i do it in the bathroom stall in private!or over the sink then rinse it out! the same w/ brushing my hair so it doesn't get all over! & i always dry the sink off before & after i use it! where ever i'm home or out!
Bad habits:
-I finish my husbands sentences for him (drives him crazy)
-I procrastinate
-I'm becoming less tolerant as I get older
-Not very patient anymore. Don't know if it's age, fibro or I'm just tired of BS
Pet Peeves:
-Long toenails that look like you could climb a telephone pole with them. I don't care how pretty they are painted or if they have a french manicure, long just seems gross to me.
Women (of any age) with large stomachs wearing low cut jeans and midriff bearing blouses. Not a pretty site.
Men who wear jeans that show "cleavage" in back. I do not want to know that much about them!
People who have loud cell phone conversations in public or hold up the line because they won't stop talking to order, pay or get out of the way.
Most annoying things my husband does:
Smokes
Drinks
Is never happy, never satisfied, never content.

pet peeves... dirty kitchen .. and picking up after people.. house a mess.. im a clean freak... also son in laws and boyfriends who mistreat my daughters. grrr......... gossip... hate people who pick at ppl... I am kind guilty in some ways with that one. but then realize it and retract.. lol..
bill collectors.. calling at 7am.. grrr.. telemarketers.. grrrr..
buess i could really think of alot more but my brain has blown a fuse.. lol.... :)
pet peeves-hate dirty house which makes having fibro much more frustrating; don't like relatives helping themselves to belongings;closed minded people;anyone that calls from a different country for whatever reason(outside of people i know)
Also...I hate it when I go to church and everyone hugs me!! I am not trying to be mean but I DON'T WANT TO HUG THEM!!!!! Can't we just say hello to one another and maybe shake hands or something? I have never been a touchy-feely kind of person. And besides that...they usually mess up my hair and it took me an hour to get the mess fixed to where it is presentable!!! I go through this torture 3 times a week!!!
Sorry for the ranting...I am not insane!!
OK - hitting the snooze button too many times until I have 10 minutes to get ready for work and out the door. Good thing I shower at the gym LOL
Chewing on my chapped lips - just ordered some MK tinted lip balm to maybe fix that :) Anyway it will help me when I'm hurrying 'cause I hit the snooze too many times LOL
If you asked hubby he'd add watching the Young and the Restless - it's my "transition" time from work to home - come home - watch rich people with high-class problems they caused themselves - then I'm ready to be in the real world again.
Taking food to the bedroom - I have my laptop upstairs - desktop downstairs - and when I'm tired I often work on the laptop on the bed and have a snack - end up turning over drinks on my nightstand and making a mess sometimes.
Pet Peeve(s):
People who seek to disabuse me of my lifelong belief that there are no stupid questions. Unfortunately someone has recently succeeded in that mission and now I realize there ARE stupid questions and they have now become a pet peeve :)
People who don't clean up after their dogs.
Rude wait staff who wonder why they don't get a big tip.
Jon doesn't have many habits that drive me crazy - the biggest is when he is in the kitchen and uses the last of something, or opens something with a wrapper, and doesn't put the trash in the trash can which is six feet away - he just leaves it on the countertop. My friend who cleans my house has even started to bitch at him about it LOL
believing that no one can do something as well (or the way) I can-and THEN I wonder why no one wants to help me!
extremely self-critical-easily disappointed in myself
not having strong boundaries-when I say I can't do something and no one else steps up, I do it because it needs to be done ie, taking care of mom w/Alzheimers for 3 yrs.

I am hugely anti-smoking (sorry smokers-life long asthmatic) but the biggest thing is the cigarette butts people leave everywhere.
Why? We do have littering laws, but they don't seem to apply. I just think it's inconsiderate-as Theresa says on NJ Housewives, "It's
just "scheevy".

some of these are just hilarious! especially the one about leaving the lights on even though the sun is blazing out side!!! LOL! it's funny cuz i'm the same way.... i go around the house scolding people all the time about it! LOL
