Yesterday I saw the doctor and just laid it out: the medicines I've been on for almost a year do no good. Even the hydrocodone didn't help. I even questioned myself about why I kept taking them with no results.
She increased my neurotin to 3x a day and ordered perecocet. Now I feel like a zombie. I can't read, only thing I can do is sleep.
I'm new here and am hoping some of you have had these reactions and if the percocet eventually works.
Nice to find you all and so relieved to find this site. I have high hopes for good advice and stories of personal experience. I will help when I can too. Thank you.

i have been on so many different kinds of rx' ,,,i can't even remember them all,,,,,,i think that the main objective is to find something that works good for you,,,,,,i have found cesamet helpful in the past, pill form, but i gained alot of weight and was in lala land all the time,,,,zombie world,,,,,,i had to go off of it because i could not think straight and was sleeping my life away,,,,,i guess you have to weigh the pros and cons,,,,do you want the pain to go away,,if so,,take the percocet,,,,when you get tired of feeling like a zombie,,,give it a rest,,,i would be worried about getting addicted to percocet as well, it is a very powerful drug,,,be careful,,,hugs,,

Welcome. I agree with maggieandblue you have to find what works for you. Percocet can be helpful however if it makes you to zombied out or sleepy then maybe only take it when you are able to rest and don't have to be sharp for anything. Can you cut the percocet in half? Some you can and some you can't so its just a thought. Work with your dr on what solution fits your situation. Its good you have a dr who is willing to help with pain too.

Thank you both for responding. I did call the pharmacist yesterday and learned that I can split the pill in half and be less sleepy and am now not itchty at all. This is what I will do for the following 3 weeks, until I see the doc again. Thank you again for caring enough to read and respond. Hugs to both of you!

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
