bump

I have 8 cats in my house right now, Yes I'm a crazy cat lady (as my kids call me). I have Reebok who's 18 and my 2nd husband, Sweetie who's about 13, she has a broken back from being hit by a car, Casper is 2 1/2 he was abandoned next door to me, Binx is also 2 1/2 he was left at a diner and some kids were trying to kill him in a garbage compactor. Last but not least I have 4 kittens that had no homes, I took them all into the vet to get fixed and shots, I am fostering them now & hope to find them good homes. So far no luck, they are becoming part of the family, there are 3 girls, Lola, Beauty & Samantha & 1 boy, Junior. They all have such different personalities each one is special.

We have 2 dogs, Tia and Jake, and 2 cats, Sam and Oreo. They each have their own adorable personalities but our American Stafforshire Terrier does the cutest things. We have a picture of Jake wearing a polo shirt and winking at the camera. I'll try and find it and post it. You'll love it. He also loves to come stand next to someone sitting and put his chin on their laps. I even caught him resting his chin on the coffee table watching tv. I tried to get the camera but he moved. You've gotta love em!

Dixie4me, I just posted a question like this not too long ago. I love to read about everyone's animals too. I have a Chinchilla named Zoe, two cats - Kitty and Oda, and my constant little companion, Skippy. Skippy is my little dog. He is 1/2 Pomeranian and 1/2 Shih-Tzu - just like your little Dixie! When I first posted about animals it was because of Skippy and how in-tuned he seemed to be with me and how he helps me with the other animals. Aren't they great! Right now I'm trying to save up enough money to get Skippy some much needed surgery. He needs knee surgery and I don't have the money. The doctor's have him on pain meds until I can figure something out. It kills me to see him in so much pain. Then to top it off - this weekend I found a lump on his shoulder. I'm hoping it's just a fatty cyst. We'll see - he has a dr. appointment tomorrow.

Oh, I miss my pets so much! When we first got married, we got a cockatiel who was a real hoot. We'd sit down with the 2 stepdaughters (much younger then), play a game of cards, and the bird would walk across the table, pick someone & perch on top of their cards...sometimes picking a card she wanted you to play. LOL
I've grown up with dogs my whole life. We rescued a wonderful lab/german shepherd mix a few years ago, and he turned into my husband's baby. I think the only time I saw my husband cry was when he gave that dog away. (We had moved & no longer had alot of space outside, and he was literally chewing up the legs of our porch. We found a home for him with 40 acres & 3 female german shepherds.)
Just recently, I had to put my baby to sleep, a miniature poodle. He was my lapwarmer, and followed me everywhere I went. I miss him, and I really want another dog, but I'm trying to wait right now since my life is pure chaos & I'm laid up with a messed up knee. Housebreaking a puppy requires being on your feet alot. :)
My avatar is my Blue & Gold macaw, whom I bought at 9 months old. She talked up a storm, knew a ton of words & used them appropriately, laughed my laugh, and gave sweet beak kisses. She went to live with a friend, because she hated my grandbabies when they moved in.
Hopefully, I'll have a pet soon, I sure do miss them.

Well...I am reptilemom for a reason. I have 3 bearded dragons named Draca, Darcy and Randall, and a uromastyx named Elvira. I have a snake named rusty, 2 birds named Mico and Angel, a skinny pig named Kramer, a cat named tyberius (Ty for short), and a dog named Marlie. Try saying all that in one breath! Most of my pets are rescues...but now I have to stop before my house explodes!lol

We always had dogs. I never wanted a cat. I thought I didn't like them. But about 6 months ago my Hubby and kids talked me into a cat. I felt guilty for giving away their puppy after I got really sick with surgery and nobody was taking care of him.

I was at work one day and a friend came in and told me that there was 5 kittens and the momma cat out in the parking lot. It was raining and chilly out. I went out and just fell in love with 2 tiny, skinny, smelly kittens. We found homes for the other 3 kittens and the momma. I sent the babies to my home with the friend and the kids were shocked. I shopped for them on my break and the kids came up to pick up the stuff. I had to call my hubby and tell him I brought home 2 kittens. He just laughed at me.

Now I wouldn't know what to do with out them. They are so loving and funny. I have great bed companions now and they are my babies. I just love them so much.

I want to get a young dog to join our family. Maybe a rescued Italian Greyhound. I really want something very small. Now that I'm home and not working and with all the kids in school all day I would love to have another companion. Another little one to baby.

I love my pets....sometimes more than people, they are great listeners and never talk back!! ;-)

My dog's name is Gussie, she is a chocolate lab and she can whoop your butt in soccer if you let her!
I also have a guinea pig named Bella who is squeaking at me right now because she wants some of my apple cider :-P!


I think pets are God's way of showing us that unconditional love is the most beautiful thing in the world!

I have two cats. Diamond is my ten year old that tries to help me out on my most painful days. He can open up the cabinet to where his food is and take out a can. He will also move objects out of my path (usually my daughter's toys) so I can walk.

Topaz, who is about two (she was a stray so I'm unsure of the age) doesn't leave my side. She likes to cuddle with me whenever she can and seems to know when my hands hurt because she kisses them on those days.

I also have two frogs, two sand dollar fish, a beta, four tetra, two gouraims, and a bala shark. The tanks are beautiful and calming for me to look at which helps with some stress too... except when Piglet (one of the frogs) decided to jump out of the tank to meet Diamond. All went well though, because my husband and I were able to catch Piglet and put him back into the tank in a manner of minutes.

I have a Boston Terrier named Percy who is my best buddy. He loves car rides and walks and snuggling with me. He is very silly and loves his toys. He throws them up in the air and loves to play catch. He also is very nosy and likes to look out the window and see what is going on in the neighborhood. He does some tricks like bouncing balls off his head. He is really a cut up.

What does "bump" mean?

I have a Papillion and her name is Lilly. She is so smart, she can tell when I am really feeling bad and she gets up in my face and follows me around like shes afraid something might happen to me. A Papillion is a breed of dog that has the butterfly ears and was bred for basically lap dogs. She acts like a cat with her mannerisms. I really love her
