saw my primary doc the other day.... she's glad i'm getting off the cymbalta. i'm currently waiting to see my rheumatologist for a replacement treatment, that's if i don't give up on finding a med that my body can tolerate.
she also told me that the H1N1 shot is coming out to the VA Oct 15 and it comes in 2 shots for one immunization. she said that because it's so new, she recommends i DO NOT get it. because she's unsure how it reacts with fibro and doesn't want me to bare the consequences. who here (when it comes out in your area) is actually going to get it? will you keep us posted? wachoo all think of this?

My question for my doctor is this. Knowing our immune systems "seem" and "act" like they are depressed....and knowing that I am an asthmatic. What happens if I DON'T get the shot...end up with the H1N1 flu...then what? Is there meds that I can take? I'm so allergic to antibiotics and penicillin...I've never tried an antiviral med before. Who knows how that will act in my system.
Yes, what they put into these shots is scary....and yes it will be two shots. But for me, I have a lot riding on if I get sick.
I'm our daycare for our boys. With them being Autistic, we can't just send them to any daycare as most people don't know how to handle them. My hubby is the only income here. And although his employer I know with out a doubt would be great to us financially....it would just be such a burden.
All of this knowing that I could prevent it.
Plus, I have my mom to be concerned about. We are around her often and she is one of the reasons why I get a flu shot as well. She had a bone marrow transplant a few years ago and her system is as fragile as a 3-4yr old child.
So, for me and my family....there has to be a better reason out there.
As for the toxic preservatives in these shots. I'm not happy about them being there. But when you look at these metals they are everywhere. We grow our food from the ground (which is where most of these metals come from) and we dump these metals into the oceans and lakes. The are in the fish we eat...they are in our water systems. They're everywhere. If I stand here today and say that these shot are poisonous and then turn around and drink a diet soda....then I'm being hypocritical. Same goes if I get any sort of shot injected into me. Tetnus, Migraine, pain shots....you name it.
So, my opinion on these toxic chemicals being put into the vaccines is although I wish these pharmaceutical companies would set aside the almighty dollar to genuinely help save lives.....I know they won't. And I need to decide what is right for me and my family.

It's not like we live is some third world. We have clean, warm homes, lots of fluids, good food and cars to take us to the doctor's or hospital if we need.
We have drug shops on every corner filled with all kinds of OTC symptom relievers.
The last time they tried to vaccinate us all against the Swine Flu (1976) people ended up paralyzed.
I have asthma and upper respiratory infections invariably turn into bronchitis for me and set off my asthma so I really don't see NOT taking the shots as a safe option.
I'm with Wonder - for me this is the best course of treatment.
But I have a young grandson in elementary school and the county next to mine has 150 in the hospital with Swine Flu.
I really don't know what to do about this.
you can make your own =small bottles that shampoo comes in from hotels!or RECYCLE,save & REFILL one you bought thats empty!
3/4 alcohol & rest w/aloe been making my own for years now! much cheaper & i know there is 70% alcohol to kill germs on contact!
i also put straight alcohol in spray bottle! Eveyday i spray the door knobs when opening the door spray the mail box lid get the mail open it =then spray my hands & same time do all the phones in house! w/paper towel & throw away
so very important= something we do everyday & don't think about the germs!
i even gave my mail man a spray bottle & he does it! after ea block delivery! says its cut his colds down! & makes him feel safer having to touch so many mail boxes w/ potional of germs!
he does get the shots thru work & he is even scared either way to go wit or with out!
My daughter is training to go into paramedic and they are insisting she get both and other shots.. I told her not to get that swine one.. so not sure what she will do.. lots of talk bout this since its coming out soon.. so no one knows the effects of this nasty shot..
please think it over before getting this shot.. lots of docs on the news dont recommend it for ppl with fibro... hugs to all.. :)
