Hi

Treated myself to a new recliner for the garden and after using for 2 hours woke up in agony the next day, there is a bar underneath that I would have been sitting on that seems to cause no one else a problem but me major flare, the store wont take it back as they have said no other complaints and I have tried to modify but still pain

Seem so unfair try to do something nice for myself to relax and enjoy ythe garden, does anyone else find things like this cause pain when other people cant even feel a thing???

I cant keep spending money to find the right one, maybe I have to spent 2 hours sitting on the store ones to try out he he

Hey Luna,

Don't know if this is an option for you, but I buy things that are "Buy Now Pay Later"
That way I don't have to put any money down, If I like it I pay it off right away, and If I don't I return it immediately before any interest has accrued...there are tons of catalogs out there that allow this.
Fingerhut, Carol Wright, tons of clothes sites...even Amazon, Pay Pal offers a Bill Me Later Option...which is accepted on so many sites now. If your credit is less than stellar, Try Fingerhut-they have a decent outdoor/patio/garden section.

I understand! And with fibro, it can be the simplest thing. I don't buy the store's reason for not taking it back! I think I'd keep bugging them about it, and explain what all you've done to make it work, but you just can't. That excuse they gave isn't a reason for not letting you return an item.

Have you tried putting some memory foam on the spot. I have a recliner that I have to put a memory foam chair pad on the seat and also under my legs. I haven't found anything that is pain free. Memory foam just helps...

It's not nothing, it's something. I have the same problem with most chairs and especially the recliner chairs around the community pool. It's uncomfortable for me to lay on and I have a hard time getting off it.

Since your's is in your own yard I would buy some cushions like someone else mentioned.

If you used a credit card, you could call credit card company. Often there is a policy about a product you are unhappy with.
