Ok, I admit it.......I was NOT thinking clearly....I am a reasonably intelligent person who had a momentary lapse....and I ordered some of the new acai products online.....FREE SAMPLE they said....I just didn't see the tiny memo about cancelling my "Membership" within 15 days....NOW have been charged $160.00 for two tiny bottles....

Please, don't fall victim....avoid the scam artists!!!

Are you working on a refund? Bless your heart! That's TERRIBLE that people would rip sick people off like that!

Have you reported this to the BBB or your state's attorney general? This is a good site to vent your problem on:

DID YOU SIGN ANY CONTRACTS OF ANY KIND? IF NOT, SEND THEM BACK WITH SOMETHING PROVING YOU SENT IT. TELL THEM YOU WERE NOT ABLE TO READ THEIR SMALL PRINT AND YOU WANT A REFUND.

Yep, should have included that in the post....working on the complaint, refund, etc, etc, etc.....not too hopeful tho....The folks were NOT consumer friendly at all....

I remember I broke down and ordered some mineral foundation (which SUCKS, by the way) - and they began billing me monthly. I didn't notice until my account was overdrawn. They said I "enrolled" in their "club" though I knew I hadn't. They claimed there was an option to "uncheck" if I wasn't interested. Well, there wasn't. I threatened to turn them in to my state's AG. They removed all the charges immediately. Perhaps a little legal motivation will persuade them to reverse the charges. You could always contact your bank to explain what happened and dispute the charges. I bet they'd help. But I'd still report these shysters to the BBB and anyone else I could! You'll be helping the next person waiting to get deceived by this nefarious company!

Also, you can buy acai products in retail stores, if you found that you liked it.

Sorry this has happened to ya Cajun....Hopefully you'll get it straightened out. Thank you so much for the heads up....We all fall for a scam at one time or another, so please don't feel too bad about it, just try to get your money refunded.

PD533...I had the same thing happen with the mineral foundation company too!....And I agree the products sucked......They just made me itch!

First, thanks for the heads up. Second, as someone else said, it happens to all of us at some point. We're in a mood, and find something, and make a hasty decision we live to regret.

I hope you can get your money back. I'm still stuck with sleep stuff that didn't make me sleep - in fact it gave me a horrible case of restless legs. Didn't see the fine print - just like you. Had 15 days to cancel and the stuff didn't arrive until day 14 - not enough time to decide even if I HAD read the fine print. Pretty sure they do that on purpose.

Off topic - there IS good mineral foundation - but the not-so-good - well I think there's a reason they sell it only on line - so you can't try before you buy.

That really sucks. I know of quite a few other people that fell into their scam. I hope you can report it to your better business bureau (or equivalent) and nail their butts! The web site below says to cancel your credit card and dispute the charges with your bank.
