Just learned that my daughter and her husband (expecting grandchild #3) are expecting a girl in March! :-) I was certain she was having a boy... pretty excited. Her oldest is a girl, 8 and her youngest is a boy, 2.

I still have young kids myself, so still parenting. Not sure I'd say having grandchildren is more fun. There are pros of course, but cons too: their parents don't always parent as you'd wish them to!
This past weekend I was able to be JUST a grandma. My kids all went with their dad to his brother's wedding a days' drive away. My oldest and her hubby went too but their kids weren't on the list, so I stayed home with them (could not imagine a 7 hour car ride!! I'd have been in bed for the wedding and the next days' drive home!)
It was fun to get all their lovey dovey stuff for their grandma, without having to be Mom to anyone at the same time.
