If by applied kinesiology you mean muscle testing, yes, I know all about it. My in-laws are very much into it using it to decide what supplements they take, what they eat, etc., etc. They used to go to a chiropractor who used it to convince them they had all sorts of issues that only he could 'clear.' It was the height of nuttiness and actually resulted in one of their very good friend of MIL's being murdered by her depressed hubby who the chiropractor was working with to 'clear' his depression. Personally, I'd avoid applied kinesology like the plague.
For your thyroid, you can get OTC thyroid suppplements. The amino acid L-tyrosine helps stimulate the thyroid.
I have the same problems with thyroid test it's on the low side so my doctor checks it every so often to see if it is low enough to prescribe something. Part of the problem is insurance won't cover it if it is not out of the normal range. Doctors also have to protect themselves if they prescribe something while you are within the normal range and something happens to you they could be sued and loose their license.
I've tried so many different things a couple of really off the wall treatments when I still had the money. This illness can make you really desperate and there are people out there willing to take your money with alot of false promises. Just becareful and research things first.
I do believe they will find a better treatment soon until then I'll keep trying other things when I can.
Wishing you Good Luck with finding something that works for you.
Hugs
I certainly share your frustration about the lack of symptom management or treatments available. I think so far, modern medicine is batting zero. Sometimes it appears they're throwing the game on purpose.
The websites are long on positive testimony and short on science. I had to look at 16 websites, changing my keywords 4 times, before I could learn anything about the supplements.
I found that many of them were made from freeze-dried vegetables. My question would be, why not just eat the vegetables fresh, while there's still some life-force present?
It seems to me your money would be better spent on acupuncture and Oriental medicine or a homeopath. Modern Western medicine is about making money and NOT healing.
I'm taking raw pituitary glandular for my low yet still within "normal" range thyroid.
