Hello!
I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia a few month ago by default. I feit the symptoms except for that my pain is only from my lower back down. I was rear ended in a go kart a few years ago and had some lower back pain but it went away after a few months. This was 3 years ago.
I was wondering if anyone thought that this could be caused by that hit? My doctors never did figure out what exactly had happened or what had caused my pain.
I'm currently on 500mg of napoxen 2x a day and 50mg of amtriptyline once a day. i also have a vitamin b12 deficiency that I take one shot a month to help with, and 50,000 units of Vitamin D every week, If that helps at all.
Thank you!

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
I think a cat scan or at least xray of your lower back needs to be done and see whats going on in therer. Maybe a chiropractor could help you.
I remember years ago my daughter had a fall from skiing and her back kept hurting off and on. Dr gave her pain meds,.(think thats all they know what to do) but anyway she went to a chiropactor. He laid her on this machine and she told me it rolled over her back and she had to go several times and since then no more pain,
Some drs just dont want to take time they just want to just be a pill pusher.
Good luck
How the doctor explained why I only felt the pain in the lower back was due to the exaggerated posture which was keeping the pain level down in my neck area. When I improved my posture in his office, it was evident in more ways than one that I had isolated the pain all over into one spot.
Best wishes.
I'm going to see my rhuematologist in a few weeks, and need to go see my family doctor soon too, what should I ask about? What are tender points?
I hope this helps. Good luck. I hope you find the relief you are seeking.
Fibro seems to affect people in different ways but most I have read says widespread pain above and below the waist on both sides of the body... You would not have to have all 18 tender points to b diagnosed with fibro... seems the general rule was 11 of the 18 but think they have waivered some on that ... something U can ask the rhuemy about.
I wish U the best of luck when seeing your rhuemy doc and reg doc. that they will b helpful in pin pointing the problem for you. So U get proper treatment plan.
Hope U feel better soon !!
take care
gentle hugs
