Thank YOU for posting that link! GREAT info there about the various studies. I'll definitely go through that witha fine toothed comb!
Neck issues here too - if you count occipital neuralgia - somethings going on in there!
Thank yo for the link!
So..Living in the World Unfiltered...could Just about perfectly Describe what I have been going thru since 2004...Hypersensitive to EVERYTHING.
I Remember what Pain USED To Feel Like, I Remember what being able to handle Stress, think THRU it USED to be Like...This is No More the case.
Finding Your Trigger...My Trigger SEEMS to be a Surgery I had, Whether it was the Surgery Itself, or the Immeasurable STRESS I was in right before the Surgery...I was ALONE in that Time, I had Just Buried both parents, my daughter Turned 18 and had Moved on, I have 2 Beautiful Sons who will not have a THING to do with me..I Just go out of a Very Abusive Relationship...all in the Time frame Right BEFORE I got the Bad news about my Health...Pre FM days.
I AWOKE with All of it, Developed Worse Symptoms as Time went on til I was basically Crippled, Immobile.
So What have I been Doing these past 2-3 Years...Attempting to "REVERSE" my FM.
I Have Posted on this Many Times..Stress IS My Kicker...I Cannot Handle 1 Ounce of It, and I am Immediately sick.
I Could Not do the Med Route, tho I DID Try...Hypersensitive, NOT Allergic, My Body OVER Responds to them.
I am Sending this Video on to my Dr...I Hope and PRAY he Watches it, I have Never done that before, as a Matter of FACT I Will Not even Discuss FM with him, or ANY Other Dr...because they treat me like I am "40 Something and Hormonal" in Other words...just Kinda Crazy. My New Dr. I have had since July last year has TRIED to broach the Subject with me, and I Shut him down..
Neck Issue...iron...lack of Dopamine..idk. I don't know which...cause I Awoke with this, so I don't know if they let my head roll, or be in an unnatural position for a Long time.
I Know My Chiro Visits always Helped, but Not Enuff...Massage helps but NOT Enuff, Warm water Therapy helped alot, but I Still need the other 2 to keep my Pain levels DOWN.
I am gonna go back..almost 7 years ago..and Relist everything I have Experienced...even the Symptoms that SEEM Inconsequential IF they have Stayed With me for the last 7 Years.
Look at Your Trigger...Look at when this Really Slammed into you...What was going on ?
Perhaps I WAS Just Prone to it, I have had Symptoms as far back as late Teens, but they were Mild, or I could Deal with them..more Intermittent..
I am Thankful this Did Not hit me FULLY til my Kids were grown..
Sorry....am Rambling here..will Shh now.
Bless ya Girl for Posting this.
I watched the video yesterday but will watch it again most of what I heard was things i have heard before. Except about the ferritin and the neck issues.
I do have neck issues and back issues. I had guided injections into my neck and SI injections into my low back... NOt sure what they were just that they were guided procedures that could watch on camera as they were doing them..
Amazing how much research and by very qualified professional people there is in the past years and still many doctors not paying attention or doubting it exsists.
Thanks again...
take care
gentle hugs
Thank you for sharing this information as we all want to thank Patrick Wood, MD. for thinking outside the box and not believing in the F word.
(that now has a new meaning me allot of us!)

I've watched it three times. It almost makes me want to cry. These are major clues.
How do we increase our dopamine?
I guess the main thing is that he is able to show with pictures that there is something different in the brain of fibro patients and how we relate to pain, and that there are differences among fibro patients, or in other words, more than 1 type of fibro. Which is why the med or procedure that helps one doesn't help another.
He proves with pictures what fibro patients have been saying for decades, but considered "all in our heads" which in reality may actually be mostly true, but just not in the way it was meant by the uneducated doctor who gave the diagnosis many years ago.
I guess I am just an impatient person, I didn't see where there was anything to be done to actually fix us. Just proof we have something.
I don't care about the proof nearly as much as I do about the fix, but thats probably comparable to a baby that wants to run, but not learn to walk first.
"Lord, give me patience, and give it to me now..."
Foods that increase Dopamine
Food sources of dopamine increasing tyrosine include almonds, avocados, bananas, dairy products, lima beans, pumpkin seeds, and sesame seeds.
Dopamine is easily oxidized. Foods that are rich in antioxidants such as fruits and vegetables may help protect dopamine-using neurons from free radical damage. Many healthcare professionals recommend supplementing with vitamins C, vitamin E, and other antioxidants.
Foods such as sugar, saturated fats, cholesterol, and refined foods interfere with proper brain function and can cause low dopamine. Consumption of saturated fats and cholesterol should also be reduced because they can clog the arteries to the brain, heart, and other organs.
Caffeine must also be avoided by persons with depression. Caffeine is a stimulant which initially speeds up neurotransmission, raises the amount of serotonin, and temporarily elevates mood.
Increase dopamine production through the use of dopamine precursors.
from http://www.integrativepsychiatry.net/dopamine.html
just as a start. (I didn't choose this site for any reason other than it came up on my first try.)
How is this neurotransmitter made?
Dopamine is made from the amino acid tyrosine. Once produced, it can, in turn, convert into the brain chemicals norepinephrine and epinephrine. The full sequence is: Phenylalanine converts to Tyrosine, then to L-Dopa, followed by Dopamine which in turns converts to Norepinephrine and Epinephrine
Natural Ways to increase dopamine
A decline in dopamine activity in the brain is linked to cognitive (learning and memory) and movement problems in those with Parkinson's disease. The amino acids phenylalanine and tyrosine, along with the nutrient NADH and some of the B vitamins, influence the production of dopamine. An herbal supplement called mucuna pruriens elevates dopamine levels and it has been used in India for many centuries for Parkinson's disease. Mucuna Pruriens is found in a sex booster called Passion Rx. See index at top of page. Dopamine is also enhanced by massage therapy.
