Fibromyalgia Support Group
You're not alone in your pain. Fibromyalgia is a condition that can be difficult to diagnose and manage. If you're trying to cope with pain throughout your body, sleep problems, general fatigue, or other common fibromyalgia symptoms, you're in the right place. The community is here for you to talk about therapies and share your challenges.
She should be working with you to manage your symptoms, not undermining you efforts to function.
I agree you need a doctor who is knowledgable about your fibro and any other problems. Taking away med's doesn't work. I would ask your other doctor to help. I don't know the system down their can you just stay with you Rheumy doctor. Hope this helps isabee
I would ask your rheumy. Also , I asked my rheumy if he knew of any good neurologists who not only treat, but believe in it, and he said, "Unfortunately, not too many. And the ones I do know of- I wasn't all that impressed with." That's also very sad to come from a doctor.
If you decide to try another dr, maybe they would be more willing to help you out with adjusting your pain meds so you aren't suffering all morning until it's time to take it.
Good luck and I hope you get it all worked out so you get some relief!! :o)
Talk to your rheumy and see what he says. You've got to have somebody on your side. Let us know how it goes, ok?
Are you taking any other medication for your pain control like Cymbalda? I take Cymbalda and it has help control my pain a lot. I don't have to take RX pain medication except when I over do it are have a flare. I just have pain medication on hand when I really need it.
Good Luck.
I just wanted to let you know you deserve to have a doc that cares about you
here you go.
Washing~ Best of luck tomorrow! :o)
