You're not alone in your pain. Fibromyalgia is a condition that can be difficult to diagnose and manage. If you're trying to cope with pain throughout your body, sleep problems, general fatigue, or other common fibromyalgia symptoms, you're in the right place. The community is here for you to talk about therapies and share your challenges.
Sharing the king size bed when either of us is restless throws a wrench into the picture and one will end up throwing the towel and wonder into the spare room.
And the hubster can sleep through anything. His newest sleep style includes snoring which wakes me up frequently. Add to that my frequent bathroom breaks in the middle of the night and need to check on the kiddos all equals not much sleep for me.
But I need to be close to my hubby at night. Just knowing he's there, just makes everything seem alright in my world. I can take on the pain, I can take on the chaos, but having my hubby next to me at night is the one thing I don't think I could give up, given the choice.
Our little ritual of talking each other to sleep is also something I've grown to love. It's something we would do even when we were dating and talking on the phone...we just never had a good nights rest w/out talking to each other before we drift off to sleep.
But this is us. It's what we do.
As for the bed, now that has changed over the years. I've even tossed out new beds because I couldn't sleep on them. I'm now in love with our memory foam bed. Sure makes me a happy little camper.
