I've just been diagnosed with FM. I've done a ton of research and then I found this site. I've read through pages of postings and learned more here than I have from days of research. It's great there is a place we can support each other and share information. I do have some questions (seems my Dr. can't answer most of them).
I do have general pain in most areas but my left leg (and food) hurts much worse. Is it normal for one area to hurt more than the others?
Has anyone tried horse linamint? Heard of someone who tried it and said it helped remove toxins from the body. I'm trying it now and all I've noticed so far is it doesn't smell that great.
I tried Apple Cider Vinegar yesterday. Not cool! I might as well drink grain alcohol. Not sure how anyone could ever drink that. Ouch!! I think I burned a layer of skin off my throat.
Okay this is long enough. I look forward to meeting everyone.

Welcome! My entire body hurts but one part will hurt more than another. I notice it moves around a lot. My arms will hurt worse one day and then my legs will flare up. I never know what's going to hurt more each morning. I have never tried liniment. I think it's a lot like icy hot? Smells bad but can relieve some of the ache. Well, back to cleaning the house!

hi nattyo welcome i can tell you that there are days that you will hurt in more places than others especially if you have had an injury in that particular place in the past i have never heard of using horse linament but like others in here i am still learning and have been diagnosed since june 20003 i guess the only thing to do is experiment and see what works and what does not again welcome take care debbie avonladydc@aol.com

Another name for the linament is corta flx. I have taken it off and on for 4 years. It does help. Having fm, your just about willing to try anything. Homeopathic seems to help me more than rx drugs. But then again everyone is differnt. As for the pain it moves around. Some days I feel great, some days I feel like crap. It fluctuates, most days pain is present. It's just learning to live with pain. You just get used to it. I don't like it, but I have learned to adjust. My prayers are with you, as all of us endure this battle. Blessings

Hi! Glad to have you join us but sorry for the reason. Have never tried linamnet but have tried w-d 40 and it didn't help. Mine started when I had mono in 1985 and has gotten worse ever since. Hugs and prayers.

Not uncommon to have isolated or random pain. Hear dof horse linamint but never tried it. I wish you luck in finding your cause of FM. I found that my diet affects mine so I have to be very strict with what I eat. But it may not be diet that caused your FM. Mayoclinic.com has some pretty good info on FM. Welcome and i hope we support you well.
