Hello everyone,
I just joined this group yesterday in hopes of finding support for this debilitating illness. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia at 12 years old after having mononucleosis. I'm now 24 and have suffered for 12 years trying to find some sort of relief. I've tried so many different treatments (lyrica, Cymbalta, celebrex, amitriptilene, neurontin, savella, multiple antidepressants, physical therapy, massage just to name a few) without much relief. I just started LDN last week in hopes of getting some relief. I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with this? The absolute worst thing for me is the fatigue. I've been taking ritalin for nearly a year now just to be able to keep working full time but it has slowly lost its effectiveness. Does anyone have any other recommendations for fighting fatigue? Thanks so much!

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.

I can't confirm or deny anything Tracy said, but if you find that certain dietary habits do cause a flare, then do avoid them. Some of us are fine with caffeeine, some arenb't, etc.
I myself simply avoid processed food. I wasn't raised on it, and th epreservatives are freaky to me, mostly b/c I was premed, and I know what those weird terms really *mean*. No thank you!
I do tend to avoid white flour, btw, but that's b/c I wasn't raised with it, either. SO that's just a lifelong habit, as is my being a vegetarian. Didn't prevent fibro. My best preventives are stress management, hydration, sleep/rest, exercise (gentle), et cetera. The usual commonsense stuff!
I love my mattress topper, but my hubby is my body pillow;-P

One of the most frustrating things I've noticed is that each thing that is helpful (meds, better sleep, supplements, diet, massage, whatever) only makes things maybe 5 or 10% better. Sometimes it feels like that's not enough improvement to bother with, but they do add up!
