Is it the one with the lady eating outdoors and shopping later?

Why don't they give a true picture of us?

Like let me go on there when I first get out of bed and hobble to my chair after I sit on the side of the bed and moan for 10 minutes.

Then stand up and say "Oh damn"!

Oh, I saw this too. I have to say. Why are they choosing the same women who do the denture commercials? What about us young ones with children to raise?

I agree, the image they are portraying is false!

I have to laugh though. I saw another new commercial. This one was about an older woman searching for her keys. Her hubby gets up to help her. And he finds them. In the refrigerator!

But as much as these commercials are false, I am happy that each time it airs, it makes it known out there that we live with this problem.

I hate these commercial because they don't show just how bad fibromyalgia really is. Here is this magic pill take it and you'll have your whole life back. It just doesn't work like that. They should put a commercial on with someone experiencing all the bad side effects of the drug while still struggling with their fibro.

I Understand if you are Young with this illness that you cannot relate to it...I am mid 40's...have been Noticably Ill since mid 30s...hell I was STILL getting carded in bars for petes sake...but had No clue {still do not} Whjat was going on within me..

these commercials...tho do not show the truer meaning of what is actually taking place...is putting the Word Fibromyalgia Out there...more awareness means more interest...

I personally would Like to see what we have Called something else...fibromyalgia just means we have all over Muscle pain...some fatigue issues...does not fully envelope the entire Specrum of what it is we Feel...and the symptom list runs a bit to close to the Physical symptoms of depression for me..."I hate the Cymbalta Commercials...they have done us WAY more harm then Anything else...just take a cymbalta if your Depression hurts you so Much...whatfreakinEVER !!

I've only seen one of these commercial because I don't watch much TV and it was for Lyrica. But either way--I agree with previous posts--they don't show life with FMS--like having to stay in bed all day, or constantly calling into work, or NOT being able to take the best care of your kids (I know for awhile I had to hire help for that and it was EXPENSIVE!). Also, I agree with the last post--Cymbalta basically iimplies that FMS IS depression. Which is NOT the case. Blah, when will people get it right.

I haven't seen the commercial but I have to say I wish more accurate information was out about fibro. They never talk about the autoimmune aspect of this disease or the new findings being associated with spinal cord/nerves. It is frustrating because so many people still think it all inside of our heads....yes, I have had depression issues but who wouldn't be depressed if everyday every person felt pain/fatigue or any one of the many issues we deal with daily. Everyday living can be such a struggle.

They are selling drugs so they have to show the person looking relatively well. I'm sure some people who have really bad reum. arthritis hate seeing the commercials showing someone playing tennis because they took a certain drug. It is big money--billions.

She is out and about, but if you notice, she's moving rather slowly and not bouncing around town as if she's cured.

I rather like any of the commericals that get the word out. They may not be 100% realistic, but at least fibromyalgia is not such a foreign word that describes disease that no one knows about.

Any press is good press, IMHO.

I have seen the new commercial for Lyrica. While it does make it seem that if you take Lyrica life will be grand, it does give Fibro attention, which is what we really want. A truthful thing in the commercial is that the woman is very attractive and looks as if nothing is wrong. How many times have we been told we look so good even though we feel very poorly???

I have not seen a commercial yet for Cymbalta addressing Fibro, I have only seen the one that says "depression hurts".

I take both Lyrica and Cymbalta and without them I would be in a world of hurt.

I had to LOL! As I opened this topic up that commercial was on TV! I was telling my son last night when I saw it how much I hate it. The only commercial that even comes close to showing how it feels is the one that shows the bruises, dark spots, where the woman is hurting from the fibro. Come to think about it, I have't seen that commercial for a long time.

what is the commercial for? what drug? is there a link for it online? I am dying to see it now! but in the Uk so it's not on here. don't have a tv anyways.
