Well, what a day! First, a little about my, so called body...lol. I have been diagnosed with fibro, possible Nueropathy, or lupus, not direct diagnoses. I told this to the near, he looked me over checked my reflexes, then proceeded to say, I see you have diabetes, since you have diabetes, I can clinically state you have Nueropathy. Clinically just means cause and effect no actual diagnoses. So on the 12th I am having an EMG, to test for Nueropathy!
I asked questions concerning back problems causing issues with neuopathy...he looked at an MRI over two years old, stated there us nothing wrong with you back. I about fell out of my chair, the MRI he was looking at was not only old, but, stated above the reading the images were blurred, so no accurate reading. The MRI was f my thorasic, I asked if he had my lumbar and cervical, he looked, made no comment. Pissed me off!I do not like doctors to begin with, let alone doctor that look at you, like you do not know your own body. I am very self aware on medical issues and my own body.
Anyway, just needed to vent a little. In addition, since I have not gotten a definite on lupus, I have a positive ana and want answers, so I am having gp run a new ana with titer numbers, a hep c and b, and Mrsa. I want some answers. As I said I am venting sorry.

I am now blessed with doctors who respect my knowledge of my own body and medical conditions, but I've met the kind you describe, including a spine specialist who looked at my films, handed them back to me without making a single note, and said "I don't need these." And she was the one who ordered them!
Sounds like your GP is taking way better care of you. I hope you'll get the answers you need from the new tests.
I want Peace's dr's who respect patient knowledge. Hope you get good answers! Ask for the other antibody tests, too!
He sounds like an old fuddy duddy if he's looking at old MRI's.
I once was asking an ear, nose and throat doc about the pain I was having on my head, face and jaw, and didn't realize that he was done answering until he said "come with me" and I followed him down the hall and he opened a door and waited for me to go through. I found myself in the lobby and turned around and the door was closed. I guess he showed me to the door. LOL
Turns out that he wrote TMJ in my chart but didn't mention that to me. I think that TMJ diagnosis is what helped me win my SSD case because it was an actual medical diagnosis.
We have to put up with all kinds of doctors on our journey to wellness. Hope you get some answers soon.
Birth warrior, I started into menopause at 30! Done at 45, it really is wonderful to be done. I feel for you sister, I could not go through it again.
