It has worked for me occassionally. This website is great source of information. Since joining I have added some natural supplements that I wasn't even aware of like 5-HTP and Ribose powder. I also add 1-3 oz of Acai juice to my smoothie. I have found sugar to be my enemy and in particular soda. Listen to your body and my prayers are with you.

It works great for me, but I won't take it anymore because of the scare of it causing heart damage. You're awful young to be having to deal with that......be careful.

My doctor just put me on this yesterday for my lower back pain. It does seem to already help take some of the pain away, but not totally yet. I read the disclosure info that came with the prescription and it does bother me that it lists "heart attack or stroke" as it's first possible side effect.

I have had an irregular heartbeat for four days since taking Naproxen. Went to the hospital after my heartbeat freaked me out. I was told I am not in any danger of dying, but should see a cardiac specialist. I have never had a reaction to any other drug and am or was very healthy before this drug. I wouldn't take it again. I would not reccomend it either.

Thanks for the info. I'm on another pill for sleeping that makes my heart beat irregular but the naproxen doesnt seem to do that to me.
I'm not planning on taking this for very long because my grandma had died from a stroke. But I try to get other pills that dont have that bad side affect but i'm on welfare so the government wont pay for most pills. im lucky i got what i did get. my mom is have trouble getting blood preasure meds that work awsomely paid for by the gov. but they dont even like here on those.

My mom is trying to go back to school so once she is we will be eatting better and will be able to afford much better meds.

I took it years ago and it seemed to take the edge of the pain..Make sure you eat when u take it..It is a form of NSAID and is harder on the belly then some other meds...All meds have side effects...Good Luck!!!!!

First, I'd like to say that I am sorry for your pain, and at such a young age... It can be so frustrating, at any age... And also do not minimize your pain.. I would give it a shot, although I did not see much improvement, it acts differently for each person.. And if u can find something that helps, that is wonderful...Good luck...

I've never taken it for fibro, and I won't take it under any circumstances since it gave me an ulcer and three days on it gave my son a bleeding ulcer so severe he had to have a transfusion.

Nasty stuff.

what doseage did he give you. when i was younger i had prescribed for my endometriosis. I took 1100 mg. If i am out of my pain pills then thats what i take and at least it keeps the tears away.
i do know that it helps some people

Well since I started this thread thingy she has had to up my dose because it worked but then stopped working. Now I take 500MG. 1 Tablet 2 times a day. One in the morning and one before I go to bed. Which can be good because I like a snack before bed time so thats when I can take it. :D
