Fibromyalgia Support Group
You're not alone in your pain. Fibromyalgia is a condition that can be difficult to diagnose and manage. If you're trying to cope with pain throughout your body, sleep problems, general fatigue, or other common fibromyalgia symptoms, you're in the right place. The community is here for you to talk about therapies and share your challenges.
Check out the sub-group, the Fibro Puzzle, where lots of us have posted our fibro stories and what helps us.....here's the link....

For me, I use Celexa for depression/pain, Topomax for migraine prevention, Flexeril (as needed) for muscle spasms, and D-ribose and other supplements for energy.....also stretching, swimming, light weights for keeping muscles loose....
Good sleep is also critical for fibro patients....my doc said to be sure to get at least 8 hrs a day....
Don't be shy, just tell the doc what's going on....hopefully he can recommend some strategies that will help!
HUGS from down south :)
I would also suggest to sleep whenever you can. You never know when you can again and because of the pain may not be able to later. I think that is one of the hardest "side effects" is having your own schedule that works for you on daily chores, sleeping...
Hope any of this helps. Keep me posted on how you are feeling!
I use prayer, meditation, distraction, and humor alot. I do have meds but I only use them as needed and the pain has to be extreme because I don't like the side effects.
Hugs & Prayers,
Mary
