This article has really been on my mind. I have a message out to my DO to find out what this really is. I also asked him if he suggests a 3rd vaccine shot at 8 months.

I’m still not understanding the not asking if people have beet vaccinated when they end up in the hospital. In my friends hospitals they ask so they know if the vaccine is working. That just seems like incorrect information. Sorry.

Okay. Sorry if I’m bugging you guys, because most of you probably know all about monoclonal antibodies. But I just heard about it yesterday. Anyway, my DO said it can be used on unvaccinated people who have come into contact with Covid or even for early treatment. But it is not a good replacement for the vaccine at all. He also stated that everyone should get the 3rd shot 8 months after your last one. So now I’m done checking this out. I’ve heard from my doctor, so that will do for me.

Miki, OF COURSE, this should be prescribed and administered by a doctor. I'm only passing along this article for info only; I'm not advocating anything. The article says that many doctors don't even know about the availability of this med. Just info only.

I didn't think that's what you meant Achy, sorry if I implied that. I read up on this stuff too, but I take all of it with a grain of salt at first. And the prescribing thing applies more to the people going to Tractor Supply to buy deworming medications meant for livestock, and thinking it's fine because it's been used in people. (People are overdosing on it, unsurprisingly because it's meant for a different, much larger species, and it's not even going to benefit them in any way because it doesn't touch viruses and won't treat any symptoms of covid).

Miki. I’m actually amazed that people would try dewormer to prevent or try and cure Covid by reading articles. I would be scared to death to do such a thing. I had read about people doing this before Achy posted this article. They became extremely ill and ended up in the hospital.

Yup,the whole premise is absurd. I know it was on Fox news and I'm sure there's articles out there too. The FDA literally put out a statement saying don't do this, you are not a cow. The way those are sold, you can only adjust the dose in like 100lb increments so it's insanely easy to overdose, and I'm not sure if the dose for people is similar (how many mg of drug per kg of body weight). Surprisingly those people don't seem to have made the connection that ivermectin is also the main ingredient in a lot of small animal heartworm preventatives. Not that they should...
