Woke to the news my youngest godson has Covid. Why? His older brother tested positive, but he was asymptomatic, so you guessed it, no quarantining. Thing is, the godson? He has *asthma*. So.... yeah. Not thrilled.
In other news, if you can get N95 masks, please do, and please remember to track the time you use each one (or each filter) so that you can dispose of them properly. I've heard varying guidelines, but mine is twelve hours of use time total. Since I live in a humid climate, they tend to feel "used" faster ----- but the docs usually push them to 40 hours of use time. Do what you feel is safe, just don't exceed 40, is my best guess.

Another day, another ouchie? My bruised achilles tendon (don't ask) makes my foot numb. Wonky on meds, whacked it.Now, as to fibro:A lot of reports are going around some parts of social media that fibro (and dang near anything else) are caused by post-Covid, post-flu, post-vaccinations, post-pick-something.1. Your risk of death or serious complications beyond "ow, that shot hurt!" are typically...

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
I’ve been feeling a bit hopeless of my situation since yesterday. Not depressed, just hopeless of ever being better. Hubby tries to help me feel more positive. But he’s not the one in the wheelchair going through the pain and doctors who seem to be totally clueless. Today is the neurologist for my thigh. I am certain he will find nothing. But I’m going through the motions. I will go through all of my appointments for February. Then I have decided to give up. Hubby doesn’t know that yet. But I am so done, you can’t imagine. I just can’t get my hopes up for each appointment only to have them dashed. I just don’t think that is good for me anymore.
Nothing else going on as usual.
I’m so not ready for the week. I’ve been going to bed early but I still feel insanely tired from whatever plague I had a few weeks ago. My back hurts like crazy from snow blowing. Storm wasn’t horrible where I live, we got about a foot and didn’t lose power. It was worse farther east. The next few days are going to be bitterly cold, again. I’m so sick of it. And bf reminded me last night that his cousin is getting married in march, so we need to figure out finances/plans…things are tight for both of us and it’s in FL so we’re not entirely sure about going. I know he wants to because he’s close with that cousin, and I haven’t met anyone on his dad’s side of the family so I’m gonna go if he does, even though financially it’s not a good idea. I also need to call and schedule my OB-GYN appointment and that’s triggering but since my periods are still out of whack I guess I don’t have a choice…
These withdraws are awful anxiety wise and today have a migraine on top of it all. I did call and let my shrink know whats going on.. . Achy with fibro today but not at its worst at least. Very cold out here. God my hair cut finally after 2 years yesterday and posted a picture on my journal.
Coming in to give a hug & say hi. I’m having a hard time, my body hurts & everything’s locked up. I am having trouble with flashbacks as well. Tomorrow I have an appointment with my trauma therapist but I’m scared, I don’t know why because she is very nice, I just ....I don’t know.
I really hope everyone here can have a spot of comfort in their day
Big hugs <3
I'm just OK today. We have a snow storm coming in starting on Wednesday and going into Thursday which could result in over a foot of snow. The forecast is still in flux. Thinking ahead to make sure that we have everything that we need. Other than that laundry, some cleaning and hopefully I will get my hair coloured today. M = meh for mood today.
Ida - I can fully understand why you feel that way. Your doctor bullspit meter is and has been full up for a while. But, you do have some new doctors and tests that may give them some concrete answers on what is happening and how to fix it. New information could be the icebreaker to get things moving so that 2022 is better. I'm concerned about you for sure. Please tell Hubby. I hope that the neuro is helpful. Hugs!
Hi Miki - It sounds like you dodged the bullet more or less on your storm. I'm going to redeploy the snow shovels today. I keep a larger ergonomic one on the deck. Going to move it to the garage for easy access. I'm sorry that your back is horrible from using the snow blower. It continues to be insanely cold here too. Yesterday, I needed to get the mail. I threw on a pair of leggings under my nightdress and wore my 3/4 length faux fur coat out to the mailbox lol. It is the warmest coat that I own and I never get to wear it. Going to Florida sounds nice. I'd like a trip around the block at this point. Hang in there.
AngelaJo - I hope that your migraine lets up as the day goes on. Your hair looks terrific!
LiLMissy - I think that the unknown when we have an appointment trips many of us up. I *try* not to overthink it. Hard to do but you've seen this doctor before and say that she is nice. Hold on to that if you can. Hugs and hope that you have a decent day somehow.
Shoutout to Milily, Zombie, PuppyMom, PainedOne, Twin, Autumn and Numie.
PS Love that retro poster!
My godson is 9 years old. His brother is just old enough to get a vaccine but they "haven't got to it yet".
*headdesk*
No idea how sick he is, but.... We'll see. Praying hard.
Full of Hope ---- yeah, isn't it neat?
LilMissy: HUgs
Ida, listen to the BS-ometer
Angela, easy and slow, okay?
Miki, like Fan, I'd like a trip... anywhere. Across the road! Anywhere!.... but go with your gut.
Fan, big hugs.
And shout outs to everyone else! While I am so glad I Have books. Quarantine without anything else, fine, but no books? ACK
Oh, and now our storm forecast is up to 14 inches. Rain first and then snow. Good times…
Leo-- praying for godson This crap is never going away
Ida-- As they say, you can cry, puke, rest, and crawl but you can't quit.Let these docs try to help you. Mine told me today that when this flares I will be a hurting someone. But eventually it will be a couple days a month not 2-3 days a week. And I will know what to do to make it hurt less unty it stops. I think tools like that will help you.
Miki,-- Glad you made out OK in the storm. Aunt Flo has been screwed up since my first COVID vax. What a pain.
AJ -- your hair looks great! I pisy along comment on your other post and DS ate it!
Lilmissy-- sending chocolate your way. You can do it!
Fan ,-- sending you warmth. Today's 30 felt balmy!
Hope-- Praying for your family and friends.
OK must get up. I need that house to it from the Jetsons.
