pepsi
I do hope ya Find some Serious relief !!
It seems that I get them, keep them for a few years, then they stop for a period. Topamax I am allergic to, couldn't breath. I cannot remember all the meds that I have tried. Axert works when it is a mild migraine. It doesn't make me sick if I take it. Immitrex works for the big ones, sometimes taking it will make me sick but so does the pain. I have the shots for when I know it's going to be a bad headache. Excedrin works for headaches.
Sometimes if I run on too little sleep, migraines will result. If I eat too much of the trigger foods (cheese and foods that have nitraits like bacon and store bought wine) they will bring on headaches. I found that there is a preservitave in Dorito's that is a big trigger. I can't tell you what it is unless I see it.
Wine - I make my own wine and don't use nitrates, so wine for me doesn't cause headaches unless I drink alot which I don't. You can purchase wine that is organic. Processed naturally without the use of sodium nitrate.
Also, the use of an ice pack on the back of my neck helps too.
I havent had any noticeable side affects as of yet, but will keep you posted if i any creep up. Best of luck!!
Hope you find something that works! HUGS from down south :)
I have taken topamax for years and have had no side effects at all
There are a few herbals that work too, fever few when taken daily first thing in the morning will help it so that you will not migrianes as often or as strong. I hear that butterburr might work too, but have not tried that one. Magnedsium is supposed to be good for migranes. I haven't found anything that will stop the hormonal ones though unfortunately
I notice that if I tend to get migrains if I don't get enough sleep. If I don't sleep well for 4-5 days, I can feel the aura starting to come on. When I have the migrains, all I can do is sleep. Unless they are the queen mother migraines, then I just want to cry, throw up, and pass out from the pain.
