Fibromyalgia Support Group
You're not alone in your pain. Fibromyalgia is a condition that can be difficult to diagnose and manage. If you're trying to cope with pain throughout your body, sleep problems, general fatigue, or other common fibromyalgia symptoms, you're in the right place. The community is here for you to talk about therapies and share your challenges.

Those that have true joint pain, it is not from fibro. Fibro can cause pain right near the joint, but if the joint itself doesn't work properly or is painful it is coming from another condition. Fibro only causes the soft tisse to hurt. That includes muscles, tendons and ligaments. This does NOT include cartilage or joint deterioration.
And for the record, I have both fibro and MPS. I developed MPS from a shoulder injury that cause me to develop widespread pain that turned into fibro.
I feel like someone's piled large, very heavy clothes on me and I have to walk around in them 24/7 (this feels like FMS). Then, it feels like the odd cigarette burn in certain muscles (MPS), numbness and tingling along upper back/lower neck (MPS) and either a knife or gun shot to my butt, legs, hips and shoulders (FMS). And, cramps in hands, feet, neck. (both?) Daily shaking of outer arms, hands (FMS). My skin is always inflamed, rashed and my organs in a crisis (currently yeast and bladder infection)(FMS/?) Surprisingly enough, my joints don't really hurt, except for the odd jaw, neck or spine pain.
