Does anyone use this (Robaxin) for fibro treatment? I've been using this on and off for a couple of years since my doctor will not give me SOMA. I initially found 1500mg along with tramadol, gabapentin helped reduce my fibro pain. I just had to stop the Gabapentin do to weird dreams and suicidal thoughts.
For the past couple of days I tried a dosage of 2500mg of Methocarbamol (Robaxin) and I was quite surprised that it really helped with pain relief and a relaxed feeling for about 3 hours. I monitored my blood pressure just to make sure it was stable. Another benefit is it seems to kick in within the hour, where as Tramadol can take 3-5 hours to start working for me.
I know specifically it is the Methocarbamol working because you distinctly know when it stops or wears off.

I do not like soma or flexarill (can't spell) b/c they are too strong, it makes me sleep and then when I get up, my bones feel like they are still asleep, I hate that feeling.... is this other stuff strong? or expensive? I'd like to mention it to rhuem. Dr. when I go tomorrow, if its not too expensive. ..
I do not have ins. b/c I'm still trying to get disability..
