i'm not of age for menopause yet but i just had to post to this topic for anyone who is.....
so i was sittin on the crapper this morning readin one of my car magazines and guess what i discovered?
you know how women get menopause, right? well, this article says that men have it but theirs is called ANDROPAUSE!
wow, i never even heard of that.... so there IS an explanation for all there "mid life crises weird behaviors"! in the article it goes on to explain that "buying a sports car isn't necessary and it won't solve your hormone levels" oh my gosh i was crackin up!!!
so then they go on and mention that "women have had supplements to help them through their menopause for years and now men have Amidren".

so i was posting this to help any men that are going through this, cause i'm sure it doesn't help your fibro flares. and ladies, if you know any men that could use this (or need it) here's the site and info (for your hubbies, too).
well at least now i know there's a name for it instead of just midlife crises. men actually andropause! so they can stop with the jokes making fun of menopausing women. cause we can crack jokes back at them, now, right?

When men have "man boobies" (a lovely name I believe was coined by Conan O'Brien) it's not just because they're large - it's because of all the estrogen in the fat they're packing.
So...gold chains and sports cars are not approved treatments? How 'bout trading in the 40 for two 20s? No? Bless their hearts - they've been deluding themselves for years :) No wonder none of those things make them happy!
so he's actually going thru symptoms of menopause?? poor dude...
at least he's losing weight in the process! lol
When I got really sick, he left - then I got better.
funny, cuz i was talking about this very subject with my primary doc the other day.... i made a joke that since my ex moved out, i feel so much better now and want to be taken off all my meds now! that i have found the REAL source of all my problems and pain!! told her that the mystery to all my headaches and back pain are mystery no more! LMAO!!!
she laughed so hard and said at least i still have my sense of humor. lol
of course i was only kidding, and she knew this... it was only a joke about my ex. lol
truthfully, the guy is freakin psycho and i'm sooooo glad we aren't together anymore! ever since we've broken up, it seams like i'm learning more and more just how psychotic this guy really is.
Actually, andropause sneaks up on men more quietly and lasts longer than menopause does for us gals. (I am kinda torn. We suffer more sharply but it's over quicker. Fair trade? Dunno.)
First sign according to my and DH's GP? Whiskers don't come in as thick. Then the hair is finer and thinner...And then it's a little more difficult to get the spark to spark...muscles soften up along with middles...that kind of thing, I guess.
Hormones. Yuck.
