I am interested in finding a handheld massager, but can't seem to find one that I can use myself, since I have no one to help me. I would imagine I would have to have one with a handle long enough for me to reach the troubled areas. I have looked at several different stores hoping to find something, but have had no luck. Would appreciate if anyone could give me some advise. Many thanks

The Internet would be your best bet? I saw a lot after Christmas at the retail stores. Ebay and Amazon are good places to start your search.

I found one that works well! its called the reliever. there website is myreliever.com. it is $30 and well worth every penny. :) hope this helps

Thank you so much Kell. I'm definitely going to lookinto it. The pain is so bad, { as everyone else is}. No medication seems to work for me, so I thought I'd try this. Thankdsagain.

Mine is a Homedic from WalMart.....has a pretty long handle, that lets me reach over my shoulder to about mid-back level. Around 30-35 dollars, if I remember right....

Those of you that have the homedic brand...is it a percussion massager? Do you think that kind works best?

I'm on my second Homedic massager - this one is a percussion massager and I LOVE IT!!!!!! The percussion is great for working on trigger points. It has a long handle and a speed adjustment. If you haven't used one before, start at the lowest speed until you get used to it. On days when I have a lot of pain, the higher setting feels good but it can make me hurt more later. I even take it when I travel, even though it adds weight to my suitcase.

Even my cats like it! They were very curious about what I was doing, so I held it out to one of them so she could sniff it - while it was turned on - and she started to rub against it. The other cat had to see what it was all about, so he got hooked, too. Now, when I turn it on, they both come running to get their massages!
