I am sorry to hear that you are having an issue such as this... For me, while I do not know of any infection in my lymph system I have had recurring pain in lymohs nodes of my arm pit which i have heard is not uncommon. Perhaps your issue is related?
I hope your doctor can give you some answers.
I only recently developed FMS (about 3 years ago).
I'm surprised that antibiotics work for you.
I don't accept antibiotics for this problem because they never worked when I first got CFS (my CFS was triggered by a viral infection). Now researchers are becoming more convinced that CFS is caused by a retrovirus. Since antibiotics don't work on viral infections, I won't let a new doctor prescribe antibiotics for my swollen painful glands.
The only thing that helps me--all my symptoms--seems to be bed rest and heat. Makes for a boring life, but that's typical.
Since doctors are just guessing when they treat us, and we're all different, do whatever works for you.
Good luck.
I'm hypoglycemic and have been since at least college. It has gotten much worse within the last year. I have noticed that minimizing my sugar intake has helped decrease the severity of my hypoglycemia and it has reduced the severity of my sore throat. Maintaining proper blood sugar is vital for the majority of the body's systems - the most important one for me now involves my immune system.
Do you also have issues with blood sugar?
Just a thought.
