Does anyone else have lumps or big bumps under the skin that follow the muscle line? My doctor says they are some kind of "oma" and are typical of fibromyalgia. They are painful and I was wondering what kind of treatments are being given for this.

These may be *crystals* a build up of a substance within the body. I get them quite a lot, my daughter(she is a qualified swedish massuer) massages them and they go until the next time. Try a massage first or a few sessions in a jaccuzi, that works wonders, jet of water plummeling you gently, bliss!!

Do you mean like knots in the muscles/tendons? Like the size of nickels or quarters? I get those a lot in my neck and just past the inside of my shoulder blades. They are hugely painful and sometimes I need my hubby to rub them out but I cry through the whole thing :(

I have small numerous bumps that show from time to time but also have psoriasis that comes and goes so have always thought it was that... unless you mean the huge knots around the tender trigger points, those I have too and they are a horror when they are all inflammed at once. Those are the days if anyone asks how I am I usually just say, "Don't ask."

Yep I sure do.... they're the muscles and tendons tensing, cauing knots that need releasing. I go to a myotherapist, but a good masseur will work just as well. They just have to start of slowly and gently and work into them to release them. It hurts like hell, but afterwards there is alot of relief. I'm way overdue - I'm as stiff as a board, and my forearms are so tight, I'm getting pins and needles in my hands. Ahh the joys.... hopefull I'll get booked in today for a massage.

Sounds like this is something common to many of us. Mine are the size of walnuts and sometimes there are several going down one arm. Like everyone else has said, they hurt - BIG TIME. Have not yet tied massage. But hubby & I use the trigger point approach which still hurts. Sometimes they go down, but other times the just don't. Thanks to all who have replied.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
