Life Insurance

Can anyone recommend a company that offers a resonably priced life insurance policy for people with issues like us?

You know i have never thought of this but i too would like to know a place to use.

Well good luck with that. Unless you can get it through your employer I haven't found any insurance company that will let me sign up. I am turned down because of FM & CFS.

So why is that since this is not considered life threatening? I was told I was not a good health risk.

It depends on what "issues" you have besides fibromyalgia, which shouldn't affect your ability to get life insurance.

Try www.selectquote.com I got my life insurance through them and they got quotes from a number of different companies.

Fibro wont effect you getting life insurance, because its not going to kill you or you die from it.

I would just check around and dont even mention you have fibro. Let them search you out, which mine did and they were smart enough to know fibro isnt a deadly disease or life threatening.

I think it would depend on how severe your case is, and other factors such as your age, family health history, etc. Use aggregator websites that offer free life insurance quotes. If there is a company that would offer you coverage, youre more likely to find it on these sites that have thousands of policies in their databases. It gives you opportunity to shop with hundreds of life insurance policies at the same time.

If you cant find coverage, you might want to go for no-medical exam life insurance. This type of life insurance is designed for those who have an illness, lead a lifestyle or have an occupation that prevents them from qualifying for a traditional life insurance policy.

I didn't have any problems with getting life insurance. At the time I told them I had Fibro and was also on a narcotic for pain. It did raise the premiums a bit but I didn't have any problems obtaining it. I would suggest going through a broker since they can look into many companies for you at once rather then calling each one individually, that can be very frustrating.

After confirming my diagnosis, I was turned down for the LIFE insurance but granted the Long-Term DISABILITY. So, they're logic is I'm more likely to die from this than become disabled? Go figure...
