Does anyone use Lidocaine Patches for pain? My sis in law let me try a couple of hers and they really helped. I get the injections, but when I can't get to the doc and I am in pain, these are more convenient.

I love these! My doc is very nice and gives me samples every visit - they are quite expensive - about $5 each I think. But man, I can put one on my sciatic nerve, and the pain is gone for 12 hours! Fantastic!!

I used to use the morphine patches, they had to stay on for 3 days, but didnt work after the first day. I know take ms contin.
Does anyone know if i could use these while taking the ms contin?
Another question about these lid. patches, do u wear one for say the day? How do they work? u wear one and your pain is better for the day?

Wow, Sherie, Ive never heard of the patches....I get the shots as well....I have an apt with my rheumatologist next month and will inquire about them...Sounds great to me....Thank you.....

I loved the Lidocaine patches but when the samples ran out I could not afford the copay to get more. I think they just affect the area you place them on so they should not interfere with meds. Loved the cool feeling.

I USE THEM ON OCCASION. I REMEMBER THE FIRST TIME I USED ONE. I WAS IN SUCH EXCRUCIATING PAIN. IT IMMEDIATELY TOOK THE EDGE OFF AND I STARTED LAUGHING LIKE AN IDIOT! LOL! THE RELIEF WAS IMMENSE. I WILL SAY THOUGH, AS FAR AS SCIATICA GOES, THE RELIEF IS MINIMAL IF ANYTHING AT ALL. I ALSO "CUT AND PASTE" WHEREVER I HAVE PAIN, NOT JUST ON MY BACK. THEY ARE DEFINITELY WORTH TRYING GOOD LUCK!

Yes i use them ,but you only get about and hour are to relief..then your back to square one. Wore 2just last night on my neck,my neck has benn killing me.Two large knots on each side of my neck,also causing migraines every day.I'd like to find a Doc. who would give me the SHOTS so i could see if that would HELP me .SORRY to say havent found one jet.

I used the patches until my insureance wouldn't pay for them any more. They were the absolute best.

I wish the lidocaine patch worked for me! It just burned my skin and I got no relief whatsoever. Glad it is working for some of you!

Sorry to be the negative one here. My pain specialist gave me lidocaine patches. I prayed for them to work. He said they do for some. Just not for me. He would not give me the Fentyl Patch though. He said to dangerous. people can over dose on them easily. Hope they work for others. Donna
