It is frustrating!!!
I fully understand where you are coming from as I have had fibro for 31 years now & am in my 60's. About 2.5 years ago I had some ulcers pop up on my left shin. Went through the diabetics thing but I do not have it + diabetics usually effects the bottom of your feet.
My swelling started in my feet & worked its way up to my knees. Finally went to a Vein Specialist, who explained to me that 98% of people with Chronic Venous Insufficiency (my final diagnosis) have it due to obstruction or a messed up valve in your leg. He did an ultrasound & a CT scan but neither test indicated either one of the possible conditions so I guess I just chalk it up to my fibro.
Still have trouble with it but treat it with a supplement called "Butcher's Broom" - it does help with the swelling.
I also agree that for those with fibro, most doctors just need to throw their medical books as we are not among the norm.
Hope you are able to find some relief.
Do you know why?
I am sorry you are in so much pain, it seems that leg pain and fibro and arthritis go hand in hand. I don't know of anything that helps particularly. Iws told by my arthris specialist to try arnica, because of allmy allergies. so I am going to try and get it at a health food store here. Have youever tried it. I havebeen in a wheel chair beofre it is very hard. I hope it does not come to that for you. take care my friend . I am here if you need to vent isabee
