It feels and smells like all of California is on fire! have to shut the house up and run the a/c. Hope they get them out soon! Poor Hubby has to drive AROUND imposing wildfire tonight, adding another hour to his 2 hour commute home. I've been thinking: No matter what "they" say, people who grow up with sick parents/relatives are different than those who don't. That statement in itself brings to mind an incredible thesis, (which I probably won't write). Like children of alcoholics, we see ourselves mostly as 1) broken, sick or wounded, 2) caregivers of same, or 3) destined to burn both ends of the candle cause life is short and ugly and maybe not worth living. Reading your stories, I wonder how much research, if any, is being applied to Fibro., especially where it comes to our collective similarities? I would love to be alive when the cure for Fibro is found. I would love to be the one to find it. I'm 55, and I wish I KNEW I had another 50 years left to live. This, today, is all I have. I guess what I'm trying to say is this: we can only do the best we can with what we have. We (and others, hopefully) will have to accept that in us and in themselves. On a positive note - my doubled Lyrica at bedtime has given me some blessed 5-6 hour nightly sleep. Amazed at how incredible that feels and how long it's been since I had that. I hope you all have sweet sleep and dreams. Peace.
