I haven't posted much here, but am having a difficult time. I have applied for disability and am waiting for a hearing. In the meantime, I am fighting to get Medicaid (still haven't) so I don't have a dr. I did get Section 8, so I am in my new apartment, and work my 4-hour at home job. My problem is, I have been fighting to get my December food stamps, and I am tired with very little fight left. I cancelled my 11/6/08 recertification appt by email on 11/5/08 because I was in so much pain and so tired, I knew I wouldn't make it there. I had to email the note because the worker and supervisor's voicemail boxes were full. I requested a list of things they needed and they never got back to me. I started complaining Dec 5 when I found no money added to my card. I didn't follow up earlier because I have been so sick lately--pain, migraines, fog, dental problems that can't be fixed with no insurance. Anyway, it is now Dec 22 and I still have no foodstamps. I have tried the worker, supervisor, person who handles complaint, and a new supervisor. I even had a person from Legal Aid trying to light a fire under them. Nothing. My bf said to try the state attorney general because this is abusive. I sent them an email Saturday. In the meantime, I can only wait for calls to be returned.

I had to cancel some plans because I couldn't bring a dish and was too embarassed to say why. Anyway, I'm not sure I feel better, but thanks for letting me vent!
