Oh and the part of IT'S NO FAIR is the part where if you don't have insurance and don't have money, then you can't see the kind of doctor you really need and you can then get permanant damage. All because of money.
Which I realize doctors have to make money but there has to be something.
Sorry I'm back to venting(or whining)LOL.
Hope you hear from them soon!

Educate yourself on the treatments and ways to reduce joint stress while waiting to talk to the doctor... here is a article from John Hopkins Arthritis Center that might help.

When the doctor calls would ask about PT for this... also would check to see if you qualify for state medical help if available in your state.
Take care
gentle hugs
I would expect you to be able to see a rheumy thru your free clinic or another one in your area. Maybe if you contact a local hospital in your area they can direct you where to get help. Also check your state's web pages for information on possible programs for women and no insurance. I know my state has help for people without insurance - including help for getting the medicine you need.
I hope you can see the specialist and get the blood work run to confirm your MDs diagnosis, wouldn't it be great if he was wrong? Lol, I'm always looking for the silver lining.
Good luck, hugs jilly
Thank you JillyT for both of your responses. The doctors at the Free Clinic has done blood work. My RF came back 25 and my Sed. Rate was 24 or visa-versa. They don't have a rheumy but have me seeing an orthapedic in Dec.. The clinic I go to that charges based on your income was going to send me to the Hospital Clininc, but they aren't seeing new patients.
I have applied for Medicaid before but was turned down. I do plan on reappling.
JillyT, when I shake or flick my fingers I feel an electrical sensation shoot through my fingers. I have felt it go up to my elbo. Any clue what that means.
All of this is sorda scary.
Thanks again to all of you for your hugs and prayers. It truely is comforting. TW
