Fibromyalgia Support Group
You're not alone in your pain. Fibromyalgia is a condition that can be difficult to diagnose and manage. If you're trying to cope with pain throughout your body, sleep problems, general fatigue, or other common fibromyalgia symptoms, you're in the right place. The community is here for you to talk about therapies and share your challenges.
It is not uncommon for autoimmune disease such as Lupus, RA have Fibromyalgia tag along too.
I had RA first and then the fibro came along.
I think that telling people you have fibromyalgia is not going to be such a shock to those who know you have Lupus.
And in a way it will help them understand better why you have been feeling worse and that it hasn't been just the Lupus alone. But you share when you feel ready. It's up to you. But perhaps it may help to share the burden and not carry it all upon yourself.
Obviously you only share with those whom you trust
And of course you are not obligated to share with anyone anything you don't feel comfortable with sharing Such as work colleagues and extended family members.
And you are so very right. Many people do NOT understand and so it's your call really. There is No right or wrong.
Hugs
I can see why you would be hesitant to tell him.
My opinion is he doesn't sound very compassionate.
if a spouse brings up the subject of divorce because they can't handle and tired of the other being sick then maybe they are worth cutting loose.
I am sorry you have so much going on.
It is a personal decision and you should do what feels right to you. Sorry you have to deal with both fibro and lupus. Hugs to you!
