From my own experience, being close to several people who had chemotherapy, it is that which causes the worst of the suffering, rather than the cancer, per se. In the case of cancer, the treatment really is worse than the disease, from what I've seen. Just MHO....
I've watched a few of my family and friends with cancer and also my father die, and now my mother in law dieng with COPD! Their pain is horrendous, also and I feel for everyone with cancer and ms, too. I'm like the rest of you kids. It never goes away and some days all you can do is watch out the window and cry.
Today it was so nice out. I got dressed, yeah right in sweats, went out to rake my yard. It hurt so bad for the first 10 to 15 min. I just turned to the sun and leand on my rake, (broke it by the way by leaning too hard!!!!) and I just cried and prayed. Good Lord I just want to play outside and get some sunshine. When I caught my breath and laughed at the rake, I turned around and said "I can do all things thru Christ who strengthens me!". And I cleaned both sides of the fenceline!!!!!
Yeah,I'll pay for it tomorrow, but it's going to rain and I"m gonna pay for that so what the hell!!! Am I right?????
I've had my fibro for 8 yrs. Used to have some back pain from periods really bad. well anyone can go read what happened after that. Still find it difficult to give up even after I felt so bad this past wkend, and said I wanted to, I don't! I try to stay focused on the bright side and MMJ is one of my biggest supporters on that.

Not to mention it often is misdiagnosed and there are coexisting conditions, like autoimmune issues or the threat of them in the future. BUT being that it is non life threatening, that is a very good thing. In a way you are still blessed, you are still gifted with life however painful or fatigued it is.
