Fibromyalgia Support Group
You're not alone in your pain. Fibromyalgia is a condition that can be difficult to diagnose and manage. If you're trying to cope with pain throughout your body, sleep problems, general fatigue, or other common fibromyalgia symptoms, you're in the right place. The community is here for you to talk about therapies and share your challenges.
For younger people (under about 31 if I remember correctly) there is a
little bit of wiggle room on the credits you need to get SSDI and you can qualify for SSI if you have very little income or savings (they don't count certain kinds of property)
Even if you are disabled or can only work part-time, you can still build up credits. Generally you need credits for 5 of past 10 years for SSDI. It doesn't take much income to score a credit (or quarter of coverage as they call it.)
In 2008 the amount is $1050 earned over three months. If you are on disability and work a bit, those new credits can give you a raise in your benefit check.
You don't want to go over the limit though, or they can take your benefits away.
Under the 2008 rules you can make $940 a month (more if you are blind) without any worries from Social Security They don't count that as work.
I am in Round Two of my fight for SSDI (see avatar!!). Your website has helped me INCREDIBLY!!
Thanks for taking the time to clarify this issue with everyone and go above and beyond with your helpful explanations.
You, my dear, rock. (As does your website)
