I will fight even when I KNOW I'm wrong. But when I take my zoloft and sometimes xanax I am calm and don't fight.
I even admit if I'm wrong!

But, you take lyrica? How long have you been taking it? At what dose?
You might take another gander at Pfizer's list of side effects and beware. Lyrica can make you suicidal - seriously. I wouldn't have believed it myself until it happened to me. This is why I strongly recommend against Lyrica.
This is Also a Phaze of the Grieving Process...Grieving and wanting your Old Life back..can make ya kinda Pissy.
Give urself some time...when Feeling Snippy try to just stay a bit Quieter, make your Apologies...No Excuses..Just an I am Sorry, and try to Not take Anyones head off at the Shoulders...Perhaps ur Needing just some Quiet Self time.
But unduki has a valid point too. Did they wean you off your antidepressants slowly? Whether they did or not, your body will need time to adjust.
Hang in there!
So, the pain-that-never-goes-away builds until you snap. Everyone has their breaking point and with F, you have to constantly re-access your capacity. It's so easy to overdo because we want to still be the person we used to be.
Stress reduction is the key here - and maybe some supplements or drugs to help you get it started.
Start by lowering your capacity level in your mind. Clear off your calendar, or your responsibilities, by 25% and go from there, more or less.
Begin some kind of relaxation therapy. Check out Yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi, etc... Start slow, but start. Take 10 minutes out of your morning, afternoon and evening to shut down and reboot yourself.
For that background pain, I use Boswellia made from the plant's resin. No side effects, no drug interactions - but it's not for pregnant women. This greatly reduces this kind of pain for me.
I'm unable to take anti-d's, anti-seizure meds or opiates but I've found that medical marijuana has all but eliminated my pain, my anxiety attacks and the horrible, horrible muscle spasms that had become constant throughout my upper torso.
Do your best to think happy thoughts and add smile therapy to your daily routine.

I have finally reached some of my family. I have to tell them "You really do not want to talk to me today." I too would rather not be around myself during these anger flares. I hate how I think and how I can't get out of the hate everything thinking.
I'm glad others have found a way out of this anger but I have not. Decades of severe unrelenting pain and exhaustion have changed me. I have found one thing that I can do about the anger. I type an e-mail saying everything I want to say. Then I e-mail it to myself with the subject Do I really want to say this to whoever or whatever I am angry about at the time. I have never decided to send it on. I just end deleting it the next day. So I do get it off of my chest without hurting others.
I no longer blame myself for this symptom of fibro just as I am not to blame for any of the other symptoms. I do the best I can everyday. I just try to remember that no matter how badly I feel right now I will not always feel this way. No it doesn't go away but it changes, I am not a bitch on wheels everyday. It comes and goes.
The only power I have over fibro is to adjust my life and accept that I am sick whether anyone else understands or not.
But there are times that something happens, and I know I am in the right....my mouth takes over and in a very short time I have said things that are hurtful and damaging. When this scenario happens, usually the situation is over before I even know I am irritable.
I am so lucky to have a wife that is able to see humor in bad situations, she says I am PMSing on those days. She is understanding of this, as well as is possible for anyone that has never had anything like this (Fibro symptoms). That doesn't mean she doesn't defend herself when I am on the attack, she does. It means she accepts my apologies later and is able to joke about it once the emotions are past. If I didn't apologize when I am wrong, I am sure it would damage our relationship.
I have noticed that my irritability is much worse with the more ultram I take. There is no doubt of that in my mind. There is also no real option to solve this either that I see. My doctor will not prescribe anything else for the pain, and some days I am in a "I don't care about anything" mood due to pain, so I take ultram and it does help with the pain. It is a horrible viscious cycle and I hate it.
