I finally got myself out of bed yesterday and somehow got to my grief supoort therapy.On the way home my car had trouble but eventually made it home.Looked up the part i needed that i cannot afford spent my day crying in pain calling for best price and then having car towed(al lthe while havent showered and dying in pain)When it got to the shop it worked so i came home and am taking a chance.Everyone is entitled to their opinion but it pisses me off for thuse of u that agree with no opiods.First of all at this point i have soo many disabilities that i could not work no matter what.But the last 5 yrs that i worked i would not have been able to without pain meds.And to have had the DEA and government come into Florida almost 2 years ago and scare the drs. and pharmacies is total bullshit.For me not to have any relief and to be on all these drugs that we dont know long term effects of and horrible side effects is ridiculos.Opiate have been around forever.Ppl that want to abuse drugs will find a way.Am i the only one old enough to remember the 80s and the war on cocaine.And to me the most dangerouds Drug alcohol is totally legal and ppl get behind the wheel of a car and killl innocent ppl.How about cigarettes?That i cant have any quality of life and think of killing myself over pain sucks.I cannot socialize,never know when can wash hair and havent changed my sheets SUCKS!!!!!Just my opinion
Not that it helps, but unscrupulous pain docs and idiot pharmacies who wouldn't recognize a pattern if it ran up and bit them on the ankle both contributed to the problem.
Where the government comes into the problem is where they don't just go after the offenders. They came in with their usual lack of finesse and made things nearly impossible for legitimate pain patients.
But that's the part you know already. And the part that makes me roll my eyes when someone says "they won't take your meds if you're not abusing them."
I'm so sorry you and a lot of other people are suffering.
I do not know why Peace, you felt the need to quote Katie directly from her post as you rolled your eyes, when the rest of your post could have made your point perfectly clear without being condescending to another member...and please don't come back with an excuse as to how you did not intend to be rude or condescending by throwing someone's words back in there face, b/c I have been on that end of the playing field, and I know how the game works.
Santiago, I have never met you, and I am sorry that this is the way I have to meet you. I hope we can all have open discussions about issues that affect all of us, because we are all in chronic pain, and at the end of the day, we all want relief...it's ok if we disagree how the country should go about dispensing that relief, just agree to disagree, and leave the rest of the inflammatory comments out.
Hang in there, things will get better, We all are here to listen and understand.

laurjii I'm sorry your post has been hijacked - the rest of us are still here and still getting it.
I am new here but in the last few days it has been very sad to see all this drama and bickering. It really can make a person want to leave.
