Who else is suffering with IBS?originally my Rheumatogist dx me with because of my symptoms,but over the past two years I had gotten soo bad that the Diarreah made me lose soo much weight and soo many hospital stays!!It was confirmed with stool samples and colonoscopy !!(unfortunately it was another point of contention in my origami disability case)After repeated visits to GI and hospital (where they fill me w IV fluids-saline-so salt makes sence .but all electrolytes off as well as potassium !now this year differentbGI and had to have gallbladder out.im having the hardest time and fibro in bad flare.After two years of nonstop Diareh I might have finanally got a med to control it.But I am still soo weak from so much weight loss and no nutrition .wondering if anyone else is struggling with same.thanks for any responses

I have IBS and for awhile it was very bad but i gave up red meat and pork, eat high fiber, and lots of protein, for meat only chicken fish and turkey, take ginger root twice daily but up to 4 times if i get a flare up, and lomotil as needed and hardly any flare ups unless i get sick.

Cruel joke on me-I've been vegetarian for 30yrs,gluten free 10,lactose intolerant!!ive been on Lomotil ( no success)I'm now in Cholesttyramine ,Bentyl,probiotic ,and now prescription digestive enzymes!!
