What does your doc say about this?
I Took Nothing for my Flares...I had no idea What to take that would Not possibly piss it off even further...in may I started eating the Yogurt with digestive enzymes, and that Did seem to bring about Change, as the pain Finally stopped and has not as of yet returned...but perhaps it just stopped on its own to, and was just a coincidence...I dunno...ony had it all happen that one time frame, so I have nothing to base my results on...
Can you PM me and tell me Exactly How your IBS Flare is making you Feel ?? I mean everything...cause I was In ALOT of pain, severe pain, but ravenously HUNGRY at the same time...telling me I was getting Nothing from the foods I was eating, and I also shed weight enuff to notice physically in a VERY short few days...and That has me Scared it Will come back, and I had alot of tests run...but they found Nothing {Imagine that}...if ya don't mind PMing me...so I can use that as a judge as to whether what i experienced WAS an IBS Flare, or if they need to Look even Further if it should come back...
Damn girl, I Pray that you are Feeling Physically AND Emotionally Better Soon !! Warm hugs ~!~
Peppermint tea
Peppermint gels made by the Now corporation. It is a bright orange label and you take up to three, three times a day on an empty stomach. It soothes the intestinal tract.
Stress makes it flare up more
I increased my whole wheat intake and that helps. I never eat white bread, as it has zero nutritional value
I eat brown rice only
Drink plenty of fluids, WATER in particular to help your intestines flush properly
Believe it or not, fruits and vegies help.
I increased my salad and veggie intake and it soothes the intestines and reduces intestinal spasms. I have a great book too called Gut Solutions written by Dr Brenda Watson ND
and Dr Leonard Smith
it deals with heartburn, hepatitis constipation diverticulitis crohns disease IBS and entire host of other ailments
and DakotaR, i will pm you in a sec.
Just a question.... will this detox stuff effect any meds you're on??? Just be careful that you don't have any side effects by your meds not working during the detox, especially efexor.
if you want to know more pm and I'll try to find the website for you! hugzzzz
Well, the cleansing does not sound fun, but neither is this lousy condition. Okay brave one, let the rest of us cowards know how it works for you. (tip: stay close to the toilet)lol sorry gotta laugh or we would be knee-deep in tears.
Good luck sweetie. Sue
I hope this goes well for you! I suffer from some nasty IBS too. LOL, I brush my teeth and I have to go! (no joke!)
I had a doc put me on some cleansing stuff. I took a powder & two pills. I tried it once and I nearly landed my self in the ER with horrendous pain. I could feel it working it's way down. That one dose took 3 days to move out of my system. LOL, next time I do something like this, I'll stick to something like Draino!
But hey, I'm the odd duck out here. I'm allergic to everything.
Good luck and let us know how it goes!
Hugs!
