Fibromyalgia Support Group
You're not alone in your pain. Fibromyalgia is a condition that can be difficult to diagnose and manage. If you're trying to cope with pain throughout your body, sleep problems, general fatigue, or other common fibromyalgia symptoms, you're in the right place. The community is here for you to talk about therapies and share your challenges.

Let me start off by saying i'm new here so i'm not used to this kind of thing. Anyways lately my fibromyalgia is causing me to be so tired. I end up sleeping most of the night and way into the day. When i wake up i feel so slugish and it's so hard to focus/concentrate on anything. I feel so bad mentally and phsycially because mentally i have mental health problems which get worse during these kinds of fibro situations. I just feel like i'm letting everyone down (which my family tells me i'm not) but i still feel guilty. I'm trying so hard to stay strong and not to give up (which i will keep going no matter what) it's just very frustrating. I feel like i'm trapped inside of my own body. My brain wants to do one thing but my body says no we are not doing anything today. I get irritated too easily when i'm sore and in a lot of pain so i lash out sometimes at my family who doesn't deserve that. My immedant family is my support system. They are always there no matter what happens. I'm 18 years old and can't work due to the severity of my fibro which is mixed with severe anxiety, severe depression, and so many more things. It's so hard to miss out on almost everything because of my problems. I feel so left out and alone. I mean i have my family but i dont like to say anything negitive about myself because i know it hurts them plus they have so many other things to worry about. I do not have any friends due to other issues so i can not talk to a "friend" what I'm thinking. I'll probably post on here to help get things out. I'm sorry if im annoying or very confusing. I'm not here to have anyone feel sorry for me or for anyone's attention. I just want to get things out of my head, maybe learn somethings, socialize with people who may understand me, and maybe even help someone who's feeling like me. Please stay strong everyone

My cat is going on trial for crimes against skink-anity. SIX in six weeks. Three this last week alone. The crack is maybe 1/4 inche wide. Maybe. Skink skitters past, her paw shoots out, her claw hooks in, she yanks, and somehow, having defied physics... WHAM. Skink-o-rama.Now, don't get me wrong, it's nice that she's a pesticidal maniac, but OMG. Skinks do no harm. They don't come inside. WTF.So,...

We here have a daily check-in (check us out, lurk, post, don't post, whatever) to make sure we all have a place to go every day with our fibro worries, everyday concerns, frustrations, you name it. It's been here longe rthan I have, and I've been on DS FIbro since 2010, and it's a wonderful place to share and care.
Our go=to book is Fibro for Dummies, and we've all gone through a lot of rule-out tests from neurologists, rheumatologists, etc., and be sure the docs aren't mis-diagnosing or missing something else. Sometimes fibro is secondary to or along wtih something like rheumatoid arthritis, or (umpteen other things).
Anyway, hello and welcome!
Don't underestimate yourself. You have so much future ahead. Flares may go down and pain will get better new treatments will keep coming out as time goes on. I'm hopeful for the future!
Keep moving. Keep talking. Keep going!!
Feel better.
