I went to my current PCP who says I'm just old (61) and I've been taking a small dose of synthroid. I told him I'm not sure this is normal, and I had been taking a slightly higher dose of synthroid. when I stopped seems to be the time my memory got wonky. I told him the last time I had my thyroid antibodies checked they were there but in the "normal range," but I was taking LDN and alot of people who take LDN say that it lowererd their antibody level. And the other thing is that it feels irritated, which I didn't say, but I know I never used to have an irriitated feeling on my thyroid gland. My rheumy ordered the test, but is on vacation. I'll have my thyroid levels tested again in 2 weeks. I guess an endocrinologist is in order? Or maybe the rheumy will have a different idea. Anyway this doctor tells me when he doesn't know enough about something, so i prefer that to a doctor who never will admit that he might not know something.
I was a living example of brain fog in his office, though. I somehow was incorrectly convinced that my prescription for Klonopin had been cut in half the previous month and had thought that all month. My prescription for Tylenol #3 HAD been cut in half. I felt like an idiot. Hate brain fog! Especially when there is something you are really trying to get across.
Here is a good article below. Hope you will be alright.
