Hello, I want to get the word out that you all dont have to be guinea pigs of the medical community. I have had fibromyalgia ever since I was 28 years old and tried everything known to man from injections in the neck to herbal remedies to every medicine and nothing helped my fibromyalgia until I started taking LOW-DOSE NALTREXONE 4.5 mg at bedtime ...This is a med that was created by a Dr. Bahari for multiple sclerosis. I have a friend who wanted me to try it because it put her MS into remission. I was very, very hesitant but in Sept. of 2008 I started taking it. The only side effect is sleeplessness for about 4 days or so...You take it after 9 oclock at night..... I was taking ultram, flexeril and living off of imitrex and then decided I had had enough....I begged my doctor to prescribe it and he did. This is a compounded medicine that I get from a pharmacy in Florida.... This med by the way costs me 20 dollars a month....I get a 30 day supply...... Why am I talking about this?
Because I see the same desperation and searching on this website for a help or cure and this will in time put your fms to rest...I am over 3 years taking this med and I do not take anything else for my fms.....NOTHING.
I no longer have the muscle aches, fatigue, headaches, sickness. IT IS GONE....... Only once in a great while will I get a few aches and pains if I am major tired or stressed..... like once every 6 months or so...it lasts 24 hours or less. I take care of my special needs daughter who has multiple health issues and thank God I found this therapy cause without it I would be a trainwreck....I want to share what low-dose naltrexone did for me and am hoping that some of you go to your doctor and demand a decent way of life...I did and never looked back...It took about 3 months to get a change in my fms and then within a year it was gone~ Tangerinebear xo I read all of your posts and I was there for over 20 years..... Please try this med and end your suffering!

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
HUGS from down south :)

He said he'd support and monitor me if I wanted to try it but, he wouldn't write the script. He has spoken to other rheumatologists in my area and he said not one was comfortable putting their patients on it.
I've been tempted as my Fibro is making my life a living hell. But, I trust my doctor implicitly (I rarely trust doctors thanks to bad experiences) and he does keep up on the latest information concerning Fibro. So, I'm going to take a wait-and-see attitude. If enough people on this Fibro board try it and find that they do well on it, then I'll consider trying it myself.
I'm really happy that it's working for you. That's terrific!!
