How long can a flare Last ?

Not that there's really any pattern,however My ( Flare's have sometime lasted 4 5 mths. I had been in what I've called a stop and go pattern.on for min of 3 mths lasting 4 1/2 off for 2 and back on.
I've now been into this Pain pow-wow since Feb.2 of this year,semms like it's just not gonna END !!
any in-sight would be GREAT ! Thanks Everyone..

This is a very old thread that was started in 2011.

I'm confused? Do you have Fibromyalgia? The medication that you mention is for vascular disease like Raynauds. My Dad had Raynauds so I know it is very painful.

There is no way to predict how long a flare may last. They come and go pretty much as they please. Heat and humidity generally don't agree with people that have Fibromyalgia. Especially the humidity.

If you have Fibromyalgia in addition to Raynauds you should be on more medications than just Amlodipine. Please clarify and we will try to help.

Unfortunately for many fibro sufferers it isn't about when will this end but how much pain will I endure today. I was struck when I was 26 and can't remember a day without pain. I have what I call good days pain level 5 or 6 and bad days 7 to 16. I have other illnesses that also feed into it but my sister who also has fibro is in constant pain. I think for us warriors it is mind over matter. If it matters we just go ahead and do even though we will pay dearly for it. If you have been taking your meds, exercising, eating well and getting as much rest as you can then I would say you are much like me. Gentle hugs
