Fibromyalgia Support Group
You're not alone in your pain. Fibromyalgia is a condition that can be difficult to diagnose and manage. If you're trying to cope with pain throughout your body, sleep problems, general fatigue, or other common fibromyalgia symptoms, you're in the right place. The community is here for you to talk about therapies and share your challenges.

Maybe seeing a neurologist about your back would help. Acupuncture might help you alot or a chiropractor.
Pressure points are typical among FMS patients, but not all people have them. Some have a few spots, some have many. Docs can only make a diagnosis based on symptoms since there isn't any known lab test to prove otherwise. Your symptoms may be "typical" of FMS, but your other problems (especially back problems) may be contributing to your pain.
Regardless if you do or don't have FMS, you have widespread pain that needs to be addressed. Plus, my family doctor said I didn't have FMS, but my Rheumatologist said I did. I personally don't care what the label is...I just want pain relief. Whatever I have to take to get rid of it or reduce the symptoms...fine. Just ordered a DVD on Tai Chi (very low impact exercise), bought joint supplements, & I stretch every day (hurts like a b*tch though).
Keep us informed, k?
The Rheumy is going to be the one to trust........
