The bottom line is we are all human but yet different. We have different cultures, different upbringings, different beliefs, different opinions etc. We are all old enough to know this.

sunset mentioned the Blessed Samhein post... I don't celebrate that yet I did not have a problem with it being posted. I celebrated the fact that there is freedom of speech.

We need to come to a resolution here fast or the wounds are going to get worse.

How about this? I will set up a survey and we can all vote on whether to send posts to off topic or not. Is this a good idea?

Lorena, there have been numerous Christian posts that have not been moved too but when I see numerous posts in a row, with long quotes and/or scriptures and getting complaints, I have to consider those that are not religious as well. I did not receive any complaints on the Samhein post, which is why I didn't ask for it to be moved.

I understand that this is helpful for you but wondering why you couldn't post the religious posts in the "Treatments" section? Lucky has also made a special Christian board too and I'm sure would welcome the posts there.

I didn't mention the Samhein post to say why wasn't that moved, I was trying to make a point that even though many didn't celebrate it, we still allowed it to be. Some chose not to click on it and just moved on. Some read it, didn't agree and moved on. That was what I was trying to say. It was a beautiful example of how we all got along, understood our differences and dealt with it in a mature way.

I think the way that DS has set up the boards is probably the problem. On other board sites, the topics are all underneath each other. Therefore all the topics are in the same view and not hidden in a small box at the top of the page. An example of a good board set up is this site:

However, DS is DS and they may not want to change the look of the boards.

I am in Lucky's group and we do post about God there. I was trying to come to a resolution for all of us here.

The best thing is that if someone has a problem with someone posting anything, just don't click on it to read it. But, for some odd reason that resolution is not wanted here.

Anyhow, we need to get past this. I apologize for venting the other day, I let my anger get the best of me.

Each individual will post what they want anyways, if it gets moved or closed then so be it. We will just each have to try to get over it as quick as possible and move on.

Several of your replies support my views:

That some members twist the "rules of the road" to attack other members and this does not just apply to religion but other topics some that are fibro related and some that are OT.

This is why more boards would only create more problems. AS seen the OT board doesn't work because many members continue to post under General Topics.

So the only time post are moved is when you close them or others report or request that they are moved allowing members to attack other members they don't like leaving their friends post and the rest of the members post alone.

Even though there are a number of post that should be moved into OT.

If there are more boards created you will just have more problems.

Which also supports my view that the "rules of the road" are not applied fairly to all members.

Personally I think whoever was rude first is the one "breaking the rules of the road". That is the person that should be dealt with. This would keep posts from becoming argumentative. Teach people to respect each other. My mother always said "if you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all". I have tried very hard to follow this. And yes, in my religious beliefs I have also been taught love and acceptance. It is not my place to judge unless I want to be judged. I love everybody here and the support. Why can't we all play nice? Hugs to all.

For those that might be confused about my view of the off topic (OT) post.

If your going to move one OT post out of General Topics then you should move all OT post out of General Topics.

If your going to leave one OT post in General Topics then you should leave all OT post in General Topics.

Also many members have stopped putting OT in front of their OT post that they post to General Topics

I'm confused by your replies about the treatment section.

In one of your replies you saying that you have suggested to DS that they combine Treatments with General Topics.

And then in another reply you are asking a member why she can't post her religous post to the treatment section.

Why not post all post that are about treatments to the treatment sections?

OR

Why not just leave all Post alone on the General Topics that could be moved to treatments.

Because if they qualify to be posted under Treatmenst then they are fibro related and therefore qualify to be posted under General Topics.

DS does encourage debate the problem then becomes when is the line in a debate crossed over to an attack.

And then who determines who was rude many people's views on this can vary.

also is being rude an attack. For some being rude could be part of their personality.

What words are rude this can also vary with people.

Some people may see my replies in this discussion as attacks. They're not meant to be I'm just trying to point things out and give people things to think about.

Also although there are only a few replying to this post I believe there are alot reading this discussion.

You stated the reason for your repost to main board was that you messaged this member and told her it was ok for her to repost her post asking about another member to the main board.

What about the other member did you message her and tell her it was ok to repost her post asking about another member?


Why were the post closed in the first place. We get a number of post under General Topics where members have asked about other members they are concerned about.

To me it would seem fibro related if a member has concerns about another member. General Topics is the place to post it.

Is this a new rule you've made up and is now only going to be applied to certain members?

Or is it that you received complaints from other members asking you to close these post?
