Early on here, I learned that the 'other' discussion headings didn't get much traffic. I'd be putting a question up and wouldn't get replies, and took it kind of personally until I looked closer and realized that everyone seems to stick mainly to the general board. SO I just tend to put all my posts on here if I hope anyone will read and respond.
Can't we just let things go, ignore posts we have no interest in and answer those that appeal to us? Do we really have to be 'policed' so much?

I do check my groups but not daily so shame on me.
Anyway we do what we do when we want and if that is what helps us then hey thats the way it should be?

I have been censored by this board because of a couple members. The rest of the members loved my posts that mentioned God but they were about fibro and pain because I was saying how God gets us through so many things. These posts were not to evangelize, ask others to believe in God etc. However, people who did not like me mentioning God always seemed to click on the posts and read them...which they do not have to.
We are all adults here, we should agree to disagree and move on. Ignore the posts that you don't like, comment on the ones that you do like.
The world is a hateful place at times and this board used to be one of my sanctuaries. I used to feel that it was supportive, but I don't feel that way anymore. This is why I have been posting more on the new Christian Fibro group that Lucky64 started. There are catholics, methodists, etc there but we all get along, we don't bicker about doctrines or such.
Its sad that censorship has to happen. I do understand that if I was evangelizing or trying to push God down someone's throat then I should be told to take it off topic etc. However that was not the case, I was not evangelizing at all. I was posting supportive posts to encourage others to help comfort them in their time of pain and depression.
I am disheartened by all of this but I know its human nature and some people with to censor instead of just ignoring things that they don't agree with. I can't force them to stop wanting to censor me or anyone else. Its life and I am trying to deal with it.
Mary, I take offense at what you are saying. I am not in any clique and very seldom do I close posts. I send ALL questionable posts AND posts I've closed to DS for review (when I say that, I really DO). It is up to THEM to keep the post closed, move the post or delete. If you have a problem with that, contact DS directly. DS also comes in when someone uses the abuse button and has closed posts or moved posts without me knowing.
I have been in contact with DS as I think it would solve a lot of problems if the upper boards were able to show who replied and when, similar to the bottom board. Treatments needs to be taken out completely as most of the discussions here are about treatments (drugs, supplements, massage etc.). The OT and GAMES could be combined and possibly a new section for religion, prayer requests, poems, holistic etc. could be made above??? Just an idea.
I agree that treatments should be combined with General topics.
I think the other two should also be combined with General Topics.
AS for creating a separate group for religion (although you mention other things)This is your opinion and you have shown that you have a problem religion. This is not an attack but my opinion from what I have seen.
Could you clearify your last post I'm not sure if you were talking about creating one more board for all the thing you listed or four or more boards because you had that ect.

So.. a question. If a single person hits the 'abuse' button, that will shut down that topic and close it just like that, until further review? ugh. So anyone can wreak havoc with that button. Please tell me I've misunderstood that?
Have you thought about all the problems that your suggestion will create.
Right now you and others are picking and choosing which Post you think should be moved into OT and when I say others you did say others were also reporting the post or asking that they be moved so they are being selective in their request since they don't ask for all OT post to be moved out of General Topics.
What type of poems if they are fibro related do they stay in general topics and only if there not fibro related do they have to be posted else where.
holistic what is wrong with this approach to treat fibro that it should have to be posted somewhere else and not under general topics.
religions and prayer request are you going to set up boards for seperate religions and the members with no religious beliefs are you going to set up a seperate board for those that would like to send or request postive energy be sent their way.
and what is this etc.
Songs and music. The "BE OK" song that I just resently post in one of my post that has been posted in the past on this board is actually written by or for a cancer patient. Would the songs or music have to be fibro related and all other songs moved else where even though people use them to help with the fibro.
These are only a few of the additional problems that would be created.

There is no abuse button there is a report abuse at the end of each discussion that brings you to a screen where you can report abuse it doesn't stop or shut down the discussion right when you send it.
Something else I'd like to point out that not all discussion that are moved or deleted are because of the post but could be because a fight has broken out in the post so we never know what the reason was as to why the post was deleted or moved.

No, it will go to DS and they will review the complaint. As Community Leader, I am able to close a post NOT move it to the top or delete it. If I see people being personally attacked or find it's infringing on the rules of the road, I may close a post. From there, I send what I've closed to DS (my decision) to make sure what I've closed should remain closed, moved, etc.
I do take the private personal messages's (especially if there's more than one on the same subject or post) into consideration when closing a post, if the post is offensive, rude or goes against DS rules.
