Here comes the low barometric pressure FLARE

It's here once again, winter in California. And right on time (2-3 days before the storm), yesterday I started having that specific low barometric pressure type of flare-up. Sharp continuous ache, oh yeah. Extra meds necessary and lying low. It's worse today. One more day before the rain relieves it.  Good news is that I'll be getting a free car wash on Thursday night.


It's funny how much we forget the really bad pain. Childbirth, fibro flares.


Trying to get my mind off the: I must leave this apartment and find a condo track. Maybe it's a good idea to buy, maybe not. I'm on a senior complex (beautiful grounds on a hill, just lovely) waiting list. Apparently here $44, 700 is still considered low income enough to qualify.


Anyone have condo disaster stories to tell? Suddenly assessed thousands of dollars one must pay? Neighbors and a war zone? Air fresheners and smelly dryer sheets? Noise, loud music?


OK, enough. Thanks for listening. Peace with the rain, hot baths all around.

I lived in a condo for 3 years. We had a survey done on the property to figure out when maintenance would be needed on roofs, siding etc. Prevented special assessments because the board could plan ahead. One of the main issues with condo living is the monthly maintenance fee. They seem to increase at a rapid rate. I had a neighbor for about 8 months who was not suited to community living. Loud parties, louder stereo - it was horrible. The homeowners association was slow to act to get him out. Make sure that there is an active board and that the guidelines and penalties are clearly spelled out with deadlines. I hope that you feel better soon. Good luck with your search for a new place to live.
