Chest wall pain...chonda-something or other, I always forget the technical name.
But it gets so bad it hurts to breath/ wear a bra/ you name it.
I have PCOS, and did you know that there are tender/trigger points down in your lower abdomen? This can set off what docs call "Pelvic Floor Pain". Not too many docs are up on this information. They go by the old school textbook explaination of pelvic floor pain which is the 'exhaustion of the floor muscles'.
But yes, sweetie, it hurts. I sometimes can't have my hubby touch me too. It breaks me. When I need him most. I can't be near him.
Sending you big welcome hugs!
I guess I would see, since you have so many Symptoms, try to Make an appointment with an Internist, they look at total Symptoms...not just this or that Pain..so Write it all down, make an appointment, and take what you have written into see the Doc...that way ya cover Everything !!
Hugs and GL !!
I am not all that sensitive where I can't be touched, but I am more sensitive than previously. I have pain most everywhere, but the meds are helping. I also take a Tramadol, usually once a day. I also have very sensitive eyes to light. As others have said in this post, the symptoms vary from person to person. Good luck!
Good luck!
In regards to your question about how to deal with pain? This is how I manage it.
I don't have any pain meds. I take OTC products like they are M&Ms...
But I manage a lot of it through vitamin resources.
When I'm lacking energy, I reach for D-Ribose. Or Guifensen.
D-Ribose is a form of ATP which exists in our cells. It's where our natural energy comes from.
Guifenesin acts like a analgesic type product and it actually gives me energy.
There is also Vitamin D. We all seem to be lower than most with it, so this too gives me energy.
And bottom line...when I have energy, I have more pain tolerance.
Then I also take Soy Lecithin granuals. This helps with my Fibro fog. It also helps with nerve pain as it lines our nervous system and cells to help them better communicate with each other. It also lines the inside of your arteries to keep them clean. And the good list continues with this stuff!
I use my heating pad on bad days. I will also ice my arthritis in my spine.
And when the pain gets to the point where I can't breath, I then stop. And easy into a relaxing position. I have to keep going for my family. There is no stopping.
I do take Xanax as I fell into the anxiety side vs depression. I can't control my weekly attacks. So, I'm sure there will be something else on my horizon.
As for now, it's a personal choice that I do not take pain meds. But trust me, there are days and more moments than I can count where I wished I had something to just allow me to breath as the pain is so severe.
I have learned to listen to my body. And I have modified my daily diet due to it.
When I'm fatigued, I crave carbs. I reach for natural sugars as processed sugars bind us up more.
I have cut out all caffeine and this builds up in our bodies and causes more pain.
I limit my dairy intake. This builds up the malic acid that causes muscle cramps for us. (but to combat that, I can take an epson salt bath to remove those toxins).
I'm no where near being a health food junkie. But I listen to my body and we have a nice relationship now.
If you are interested in foods that help reduce pain. Just google an arthritic diet. Foods like Broccoli once a week help keep inflammation down. Pork being high in sodium causes water retention which causes more pain for us. It's these sort of lifestyle choices that have made the biggest difference for me.
Good luck hun.
Moving, early morning and late evenings hurts the most. Sometimes I can't even cry as that hurts too much. I'm the opposite though, I have to get a massage or I feel like I am "rusting" and can't move. Hubby has to massage the stiffness out. I can't wear tight clothes, under clothes, man-made materials or anything that cuts my circulation off or feels like I'm being strangled. It's embarrassing not to be able to wear a bra anymore but I don't care. I need to be comfortable.
I'm chemical intolerant so can't take most medications, plus, I work and have to drive a major highway so not a good idea to be on pain meds.
