Heat and Humidity

I've come to believe that heat and humidity cause a lot of my neck pain. It kind of feels like somebody is squeezing the back of my neck. Does anybody else experience this? I have read where the weather affects people with fibromyalgia, but I'm not sure what all of that means. I also have some arthritis in my neck.

We are a weather barometer We are sensitive to hot cool/cold winds & humidity amongst other things

Its all relevant to each individual. Some heat products work when its cold, especially if you have Reynauds. The humidity gives me a headache when I sleep, so Im trying out new sheets that are specifically made for cooling. and def sleeping with an air conditioner. Its all trial and error. Do you exercise? - stretching, etc... That makes a huge difference in any type of pain. I know that for sure.
Heat without the humidity- dry heat, still causes pain. Ive been to 3 different climates regarding this and its all the same... but that;s for me. Like I said, everyone is different.

The heat and humidity makes me crazy! Just came out of terrible Chicago winter. Couldn't wait for summer and now I feel like everything is swelling due to humidity. Maybe I should move into one of those climate controlled storage units LOL

Thank you, everyone, for your replies. Mulberry, I used to be into exercise big time. But besides running around for about 2 & 1/2 hours at work (I'm a lunch monitor at an elementary school) I really don't exercise. I know...that's bad. Firstfall...I drive myself crazy sometimes because I want to know WHY things happen in my body...like the humidity thing. Nanax...I'm not sure exactly but I think it's mostly the high humidity thing with me. And, yes, Redsilverfox, I have heard that we're like weather barometers. I also have some arthritis in the back of my neck.

I am also in the club where high humidity is the one that sets me off. No idea why. And I've asked a lot of docs. I've written that one off as "osme people can't tolerate it with or without FM, and that's just that."

TO me, summer in Virginia is like one long slow-moving weather front triggering every ache and pain I have. But the other nine months are prtty great, so... take what I got and do my best.

Here in GA, the humidity is making my knee joints swell and it hurts sooo bad. I can relate. I like the weather for about 4 months out of the entire year.
